Please no offense, but illegal immigratio affects all of us in all 50 states. If it is not in your neighborhood, I'll be happy to move there.

I know it is frustrating. You do have a valid point. It is a sad state of affairs.
Don't give up. We need to keep fighting the fight

I know about illegal immigration issues, and have posted my share of stuff on it.
I just get sick and tired of seeing stuff in my state column that does not SPECIFICLY affect it. National issues(like immigration) don't belong there unless someone's busted in Michigan like the Hezbollah joker, or if it's specificly a Canadian border issue.

This will be the final nail in the coffin of the banking industry. They are already lending too much money to both qualified and unqualified borrowers. If they do end up doing this it would make the new bankruptcy bill seem like it was part of the plan. They will hold Americans in debt while allowing the illegals to flee their debt.

Please do not spam the state lists. There is NO story which is of local interest to FReepers in all 50 states.

(Just my opinion, of course. Your mileage may vary.)

Freddie Mac, the Federal Home Loan Mortgage, is studying whether to buy the mortgages from banks. Freddie Mac (& Fannie Mae) are already in questionable financial positions. They don't need to back these shaky loans.
The The taxpayers would eventually have to bail them out like the S&L debacle.

Banks are going to get burned big time on this. They are already by letting wives get away with running credit card debt...

when they get burnt, they will take it out on the American taxpayer, their customer they can rely on. Special.
