a manifesto appeared on more than a dozen Web sites operated by the left-leaning Independent Media Center. Of course.

A proud product of the same college that produced such luminaries as Rachel Corrie.

Had he been a "Right Winger", this certainly would have gotten major coverage from the TV news networks.

As he stood beside the car, the 31-year-old husband and father of a toddler was shot three times, twice in the back and once in the head, at very close range.
"Now I'm coming forward, to explain that this killing was also an action against corporate irresponsibility."
What kind of sick and demented mind equates the cold-blooded murder of a low-paid, hard-working civil servant who risks his life every day to protect his community with an "action against corporate irresponsibility"?

I just thought of something does anyone remember The Resister?
They put out a little newsletter from time to time, but must have gone back underground or something
I wonder whatever happened to them

The editors of the "Resistor" have retired from active duty.
Do not equate the personnel who read or edited the "Resistor" with common murderers.

Whenever I see the hippies playing hackysack on the university lawns I always reflect to myself that in ten years the boy-hippies will be clipped, shaven and trying to sell me mutual funds and the girl-hippies will be running galleries and trying to sell me bad art.

The editors of the "Resistor" have retired from active duty. Did they retire from their newsletter too? I was under the impression that at least one of the writers was already retired at the time. But then, they weren't real clear about details.
I was always amazed that only two or three of the newsletters leaked out to the internet.

This is the post afterall and the left is always good

It was essentially a "private" newsletter which was distributed to the SF community. As far as I know, the newsletter has not been distributed past 1997. The only issues found nowadays are on the internet or copies sold at gunshows.
The clarity of the articles and the details contained were withheld purposely, as the editors had been trained to do. The leakage occured when the newsletter became so popular as to have been displayed in libraries.

Well that must explain why it folded. Sounds like it was edited by Homer Simpson.

Du-oh!
If you were publishing a journal which ran against the status quo of the military, and your military superiors, not to mention the political regime in office at the time, I suppose that you would openly give out your sources..............Duh-oh!

Another scumbag, Mumia-wannabe, cop-killer, leftist brags about his disgusting crime on various Indy Media websites.
Now why would he go there? Maybe because, as said by another in the WashPost article:
the independent media sites . . . [serve] . . . as a kind of "incubator . . . a magnet for deranged losers."

Classic sociopath. Nothing wrong with his mental clarity, it's simply directed at a fantasy world wherein other people - the victim, for example - exist only as a means of advancing and enriching the fantasy. He feels no remorse because why should he? The police officer was no more to him than a cardboard cutout and the family does not even exist.
No real room for hate here. Put him down like a rabid animal. He isn't right and he isn't going to be right.

I posted this article about his conviction last week: Colusa Jury Convicts Cop Killer
And I was reading today that the jury took about 1 hour to return a recommended death sentence.
