O'Rielly's a self important blowhard who's kidding himself if he thinks he hasn't exposed himself as a liberal. Greta always was a liberal and Brit Hume seems to only want to talk to D.C. insiders on his show.

*spin sound effect*

Taz comes into view in front of O'Reilly, wanders back and forth grouching.

"Ragga grrxxxkkzzznikt eeep thppppt, gragga sgrrgxxxztz AhhhhH!"

Taz spots O'Reilly and starts the spinnign rant thing

O'Reilly: "You don't know what you're talking about, that's preposterous!"

Taz: "GraaaghSnrxxxgggztz!"

O'Reilly(while being devoured): "Typical one issue -AAuuuugh!!!"

I don't see eye to eye with O'Reilly at all, but I listened to him talk about the pope last night, and he seemed very respectful to me.

That's probably the case.

The Tiffany network is notorious for that practice, but it wouldn't surprise me if other networks followed the same model.

You're also correct about the negligible price differential.

It seems as if any bestselling, hardcover book published today always falls somewhere within the $25-$30 price range, which is probably why so many consumers enjoy shopping online.

Always have to have the 'eep' in there somewhere, as Taz does that while looking for something to eat.
*chuckle*
Thanks!

I had to read this post. I thought it was Carl Lenin, I mean Levin at first.

its likely because of his schtick on his radio show - Levin is a smart guy for sure, but they make him into some angry character to compete with Michael Savage. As such, his presentation is a bit over the top.

Appears far too many folks here base their political views on the talking heads, you know, talking heads like Rush, Sean, Mark,Laura, Ann... If they parrot your thoughts they are heros, if not, they're the blight of the earth.

Folks...these people are entertainers...nothing more!!!

You would not believe the last minute cuts we had to make to get the book to under 1000 pp. (That, we were told, was the "magic number" for the sales staff). And just this week, I got a three-page letter from some guy haranging me for not including H.L. Mencken!

I agree. I don't think that Levin wouldn't have written the book without being paid to do so, but that's a natural feeling, as he has a family to provide for and financial and other reward is a natural motivator for all people.

However, I truly believe that his purpose in writing the book was education of the American public. I'm sure he could make a lot more money if pimped himself out to every interested party like some supposed scholars do. But he doesn't do that.

And his book couldn't have been published at a more appropriate time.

Well, I don't agree with that. Rush is an entertainer, but he also often (not always) has some of the most insightful political commentary I've ever heard (far deeper than Hannity). He was wrong on Hillary's run, but he is dead on when it comes to what the Dems will say, or do, about a particular issue.

Not inclined to watch Shepard Smith or the Judge anymore. Tuned out O'Reilly months ago.

He's done nothing of the sort.
O'Reilly has blasted those who have dissed JP II.

Did I say anything to the contrary?

What some people seem not to be able to understand is that there are news programs and there are opinion programs on cable TV. Brit's program is a news program. On a news program there is no place for selling a book or a particular position. I want my news "fair and balanced". If I want opinion, I will watch an opinion program, where Mark Levin should be welcomed.
