I just don't think that was his primary motivation in writing this book.
To try and depict him as some huckster pitching his newest faddish diet is ludicrous, in my opinion.
Heh, heh.
:)
Good grief, get a grip.
Whether Brit's program pitches books is not the issue.
The complaint alledges the reason cited for Levin's exclusion from Brit's program is because he is "controversial". This is the issue that needs clarification.
FreeRepublic is considered controversial. Rush Limbaugh is considered controversial. The President is labeled "controversial". The Pope was said to be "controversial". This is usually an indictment leveled to attempt to dismantle the legitimacy of the person in question, which leads to discreditation of their beliefs. Rather than directly engaging those beliefs in debate to fail or survive of their own validity.
IF this is what Levin said, and IF this is the reason given for not wishing Levin on the show, I'm not impressed. His show to do as he wills, but I take it as a slap against conservatives that believe the Judiciary has overstepped its authority.
Though I wouldn't be surprised. FOX is NOT a conservaive network. They are moderately Liberal. Folks only assume they are conservative in comparison to the NYT's or ABC.
I had already stopped watching Greta because I hate her politics, her mouth looks like an exit wound, and Scarborough is much better. I don't watch O'Reilly because of his self promotion (it is like American Idol without the singing). Don't know what I'm gonna do without Brit.
I love Mark Levin. He's so...he's so...he's so acerbic! Such a shmot meanie.
Not so strange, Darksheare. That was a wonderful, wild, imaginative description. I wanna do the cartoon voice but I'll have to brush up on my Tasmanian Devil.
6-8 PM in our (ET) area.
By the way, I was in one of the big chain stores today, and there was PHUSA right next to Levin's book and "Atomic Iran."
He ALMOST looks cute!
Fox probably wouldn't let me come on those shows, either. Does this mean I've been 'dissed'?
BLHGJOPPSHFDOPOHGPDGIHOP!!!!!
"Men in Black" was placed less prominently-or absent, entirely-from the same stores, though they did have a number of copies at the huge Barnes & Noble in Union Square, when I last went there.
:)
LOL!
Hey, you seem to have a pretty good grasp of the nature of it..
*chuckle*
Yeah, poor Bill. Nothing left but his notes.
I am gonna miss Brit, also---Not that I will stop watching his show necessarily, because I like the "roundtable" part, but, I will miss believing that Brit is above the politics of news....
BTW, the angle about Brit not putting authors on his show, was blown up already---he had Byron York on to talk about the "Left Wing conspriracy" involving Moveon.org, George Soros, et. al., financing the dem presidential election last year to the tune of $78 million dollars, and that the only reason Kerry lost, was because of Kerry, and that they have set up this hugh money machine for the Dems for the forseeable future, which means that we could very well be seeing Hillbilly in the White House in 2006----
Oh, and by the way, Byron York just wrote a BOOK about this that is coming out.....hmm..........
Oh, I see MIB everywhere. Lots more copies, too (because it's thinner than ours, although I bet it doesn't cost much less). But, hey, he's got a hit. Good for him. I have heard him on Hannity, a lot, but I do think there is something to Fox plugging its own company's books. "Fox and Friends" shilled Kilmead's book, "The Games Do Count" to death, and Cavuto did a separate section, each from a chapter from his book, on his show every day for a month.
