"Every sensor has to be addressed," Maheda said. "It's taken away from our normal operations."

You don't get it, do you..

Your "normal operations" are NOT working and Americans are fed up with the results. That's why the Minuteman Project is on the border, calling attention to that fact, and demanding better money, resources, and equipment for the Border Patrol. Stop complaining that your business as usual is being disrupted because business as usual isn't cutting it!

Maybe some BP Supervisors will have to get off their butts and help out now.

"It's taken away from our normal operations."

That's the whole idea, you blockhead! Your 'normal operations' have resulted in the largest uncontested foreign invasion in the history of the world! No ... the solar system! No ... the galaxy!

"Every sensor has to be addressed," Maheda said. "It's taken away from our normal operations."

If responding to tripped sensors is not part of your normal operations, then please explain what your normal operations are... it certainly has nothing to do with stopping the illegals, or else these "vigilantes wouldn't be there in the first place. I'm sure the BP has a in-depth job description for every station. Please post them so we, the American people can more understand your "normal operations"

U.S. to Bolster Arizona Border Security

"The whole thing is a shell game," said T.J. Bonner, president of the National Border Patrol Council, a union that represents agents. "They are trying to convince the American public that they are doing something, when they're doing very little.

"The timing is suspicious," Bonner added. "They don't want to be embarrassed by the Minutemen."

The Border Patrol opposes the operation. "The possibility for something going drastically wrong is very high," Maheda said.

Something "drastically wrong" has already been happening...

"Every sensor has to be addressed," Maheda said. "It's taken away from our normal operations."

LOL, what a joke. There's an estimated 4,000 illegals crossing the Arizona border every day. So... Agent Maheda, your "normal operations" aren't working worth a flip so please spare us the concern about your "sensors".

We all know the reason the Border Patrol doesn't like the Minutemen is because they are shining the spotlight on the total lack of border protection to the whole nation. Of course, the government doesn't provide enough resources to do the job either but that's a whole other story.

This is one of the two or three major problems identified early on by the BP's Tucson Sector Commander. It's not like they didn't know it was going to happen.

"Every sensor has to be addressed," Maheda said. "It's taken away from our normal operations."

Normal operations means ignoring every sensor that is tripped. Can't get away with that this month, hence the frustrated whining to AP.

The Border Patrol is probably tripping over their own sensor. They couldn't find their own arse with both hands, how can they remember where they placed their sensors?

Hey......Border Patrol..........just shut up and be GRATEFUL that you live and work in a country of people who actually give enough of a fiddler's damn to help you guard our borders.

God I'm so tired of pansy-assed bureaucrats.

Over the past few days, they have set off sensors, forcing agents to respond to false alarms, said Supervisory Border Patrol Agent Jose Maheda.

``Every sensor has to be addressed,'' Maheda said. ``It's taken away from our normal operations.''

``The possibility for something going drastically wrong is very high,'' Maheda said.

I wonder if he endorses Neighborhood Watch where he lives?

If the SOB [Slacking Obstructive Borderista ;)] wants to complain about having to actually do his job, maybe he should be reminded who the public is, and who the servant really is.

How can Americans be criticized for just walking around on American soil. If there wasn't so much media surrounding these guys, no one would care. The Border Patrol can complain all they want, but if I take a horseback ride and trip one of those sensors, it's not my fault.

"Every sensor has to be addressed," Maheda said.
I'm sure all sensors do have to be addressed.
However, if you turn on that camera you probably have down there showing you the area in question you won't have to get out from behind your desk to make your report.

Border Patrol Remote Surveillance Video Automatic detection of illegal immigrants at U.S.-Mexico border near Eagle Pass, Texas, by computer image analysis of video feed from U.S. Border Patrol remote surveillance unit.
Now, that may be in Eagle Pass, but I'd be willing to bet dollars to doughnuts that "Supervisory Border Patrol Agent Jose Maheda" made sure his budget allowances were kept up for renewal by spending every bit of said budget dollars the previous fiscal year by buying nifty items like the boys in Texas have.
OH LOOKY, an article from Tucson! It seems I was right!...The group was spotted by an agent operating an infrared camera near the intersection of Puzzi Ranch and Plantation roads.
"It's taken away from our normal operations."
Just what are your "normal" operations?

Somebody needs to give Maheda some new talking points! The ones he is using are BS!

First, you have to get your terminology straight. They're not "illegal immigrants", they are "undocumented Democrats".
