"recapture the muscular progressive internationalism of Roosevelt, Truman and Kennedy and convince voters that national security is our first priority." As long as they can't admit their sacred cows: progressive taxation and the big government needed for wealth redistribution, they'll continue to fail. With the new media, there's no hiding anymore.

[Where does the DLC stand on:
-Democracy in the Middle East?
-Iranian nukes?
-Israel?
-the Patriot Act?]
The more important reason (as hard as that is to believe) they're losing elections is their fanatical devotion to Keynesian economic policy.
As long as they are the party of funneling more and more of the people's money through the federal government's command center, the more they will get booted out of government power positions.

You'd better be kidding.
:^)
Let dumb a$$&$ like George Soros continue to donate (there's no shortage of money or stupidity) to that project because when that money-well eventually runs dry, so does the enthusiasm.

Not counting the war, W and the Republican congress are pretty big spenders. I think everybody needs a stern lecture on economics.
