> Just humor me. Try to imagine, "ETERNAL TORMENT".
And now imagine that you will have absolutely no idea of any such thing once you get into enforced permanent bliss. So again... why care?
If you are correct, then you will spend an infinite length of time giving absolutely not one iota for the suffering of others. A bit anti-social, rather sociopathic, really. So your pretensions of caring *now,* for a few years compared to an infinity of not caring at all, look pretty pale.
> That's what His Word says, and He can't lie.
Umm... sure about that?
1 Kg.22:23 "Now, therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil concerning thee."
2 Chr.18:22 "Now therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets.
Jer.4:10 "Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people."
Jer.20:7 "O Lord, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived."
Ezek.14:9 "And if a prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the Lord have deceived that prophet."
2 Th.2:11 "For this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie."
> I'm about as far right as you can get without falling off the spectrum.
Except that you believe that the most emotionally fullfilling aspects of your life are to be handed to you, rather than made by you.
It's nice of you to identify where you stand too.
"It's nice of you to identify where you stand too."
Yes, I'm glad that I could clarify for you that I am generally opposed to slandering large portions of the population based solely on my personal opinion.
Would you mind if my wife and I pray for you?
Do as you like. But I'd appreciate it if you'd respond to the points raised.
Every graveyard is a monument to the fact that Satan is the liar.
Prov 30:5 Every word of God proves true.
Titus 1:2 which God, who does not lie
However, when people are outside God's will, in rebellion,
He can and does use delusion and deception,
and He allows people to believe lies.
If you are correct, then you will spend an infinite length of time
giving absolutely not one iota for the suffering of others.
I used to have a hard time with that one myself, because it is so final,
and eternal. We always like to believe there is always hope, but that's
not what Revelation says. All of lost humanity will be cast into the
lake of fire with Satan and his angels. No coming back from there.
That is what makes this one life we're given so important.
The decisions we make will determine our eternal destiny.
As far as being eternally indifferent to the eternal suffering of
others, I take God at His word. You're right, heaven would be a place
of eternal torment if we had the constant reminder of our loved ones
burning in hellfire, so I believe they will be totally forgotten,
as if they had never existed, along with the memory of this fallen age.
Rev 21:4
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow,
nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away.
> He can and does use delusion and deception,
and He allows people to believe lies.
How nice.

Ignorance is bliss.
