Rest in Peace

He held on long enough for Terri Schiavo to make her mark too.

So sad for us.

But what a joyous moment in heaven! The hosts of angels singing!

I don't know what heaven is like, for sure, but I like to think of it this way: I think my dear mother is about to meet her very favorite Pole. Can I smile and cry at the same time?

I think so.

He was indeed a great man and in my opinion the most important pope of the last century.

We just sang the Salve Regina along with the faithful in St. Peter's. At this moment I thank God for television.

He died on the First Saturday as well as the Saturday of the Divine Mercy Novena.

Second time in two days. This Pope was extraordinary (no joke, he was a remarkable man). I just noted that the press said he had died yesterday and then retracted the statements.
