Rest in Peace, with great love and respect from a non-Catholic who has always admired this Pope as a great warrior for Christ.
Thx
Correcto!
Ivan, that is beautiful!
Thank you for sharing.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green [1] pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest [2] my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. [3]
I don't mind. Please do. I think I will do the same.
The passing of a mighty yet gentle man of God. I'm not Catholic but to all my brothers and sisters in Christ, I grieve with you.
Well Mo... here we are.
He's left us to complete his journey.
John Paul II the Great.
Safely home ~ May he rest in peace
But I weep for the rest of the world, as we have lost a great and guiding light.
As the Cardinal who announced it said:
Pope John Paul II has gone to the house of his Father.
Ping to my friends as to the passing of the Pope.
I just wanted tell those who are of the catholic faith that my prayers are with you in this time of sadness and renewal.
The Pope has done so much, for so many years, no matter your theological leanings one could not help but respect and applaud this man.
May the Pope begin his new journey in the loving hands of our Lord and Savior.
I found him enchanting, unique and strong. When he bridged the gap of our youth a few years ago I was in admiration of how these young people came in the thousands to hear the Pope. It is etched in my mind.
There are churches that are 4 walls. There are churches that sing their love of Christ. The Catholic church not only has the 4 walls, sings their love of Christ but also welcomes all into their loving arms. It does not matter if you are broke, drug dependent, black, white, wealthy or poor each one is treated with love and respect. Which comes from the Priest of the parish but it is not just the Priest, it is the teachings from the Pope that provides such devout and loving direction to their flock.
He is a man of huge stature. Even when he was sitting he stood tall. He was a man who voice could be heard all the way around the world even when he could not talk. He will leave some mighty big shoes to fill but I have no doubt he has guided the future Pope in a way that will provide comfort in the next days, weeks of sorrow.
I'll pray for you.
He was my Pope for a week. :-(
(Confirmed this Easter)
R.I.P. Holy Father.
He has moved on.....to spend the next part of his life.......with the one her served and loved very well.
They are saying that the anouncement came to St. Peters Square about 35 minutes ago.
You just know that John Paul now walking around up there, having a great welcoming conversation with the big man.
No more pain, no more suffering, just back to the well fit man he was years ago.
He has not seen his mom since he was 8. Today they will spend time together.
The world will always remember John Paul the 2nd.
An his service to all will be honored.
