He's hiding something. He doesn't even pronounce his name correctly. Folks Schiavo is ShEE-AH-Voh.
There is no reason to Anglicize that name.

I don't think so. This seems to be the kind of guy who has himself convinced (he is right) and surrounds himself with like-minded folks. This also sounds like all of the pro-lifers on the Terri threads in FR...

Terri's soul is resting in peace. Her killers believe that her death will pull people to their "right to die" cult but I don't. They point to everyone making out living wills, medical power of atty., etc. As for me, I will never forget that a handicapped woman was starved to death while HOSPICE stood by and assisted. There name is tied so tight to this case that they will never recover.
Until a few weeks ago, Hospice conjured up warn and wonderful memories of the nurses who helped my family at several different times. I understood that they took only patients who were in terminal condition (prognosis of six months or less) and always thought that they were angels of mercy who supported the patient and family when someone was dying.
Everyone talking about this sad story now knows that Hospice is not just for the truly terminally ill, but also an active partner in killing healthy people.

< I sincerely pray that Terri's autopsy will reveal either signs of abuse, or evidence that she was not in PVS. >
Personally, I don't care if the diagnoses IS or WILL be PVS. I saw the video. The heck with the doctors. She was responding.

Note to self: learn how to use italics.

This is not an option the Catholic Church offers. The cremains must remain intact for burial.
To: imfleck
Michael didn't want the burial to become a public spectacle, and I don't blame him. ----
Like John Belushi's and Jim Morrisons'?

Taking the emotions aside, if you analyize this case like a murder it all points to Michael Schiavo.

There should be a Congressional investigation of this whole matter, including the corrupt hospice scam industry and the cults and unsavory people involved with it.

..her burial place would become a pilgrimage site if it were knownIs there something wrong with making her burial place a pilgrimage site?

I have seen more and more folks go from "he's a loving husband" to "What a Rat-B@st@ard!" in just the last week.I hope the same sort of thing happens with Hillary in the months prior to the 2008 election!

It is possible, depending on the findings, that the family could obtain possession of and have a Catholic funeral for the viscera (now in the control of the ME). Michael will only have ashes of the somatic shell.

And oh, the lengths they went to, to ensure her killing was "beautiful." The cards, the flowers, the music, the stuffed animals. After Mikey had kept her in a dark, silent void for the better part of a decade.

Judging from the rest of his behavior and the mental signs that have gone with it, it would not be surprising at all if he doesn't have a clue regarding the correct pronunciation of his own surname.

Who really believes Terri will be buried at all? Ashes can be dumped and scattered at will. At this point, her burial plot is irrelevant. Mikey has a bullseye on his back ad infinitum.
