But Judge Greer reminds me, in that same parable, of the judge who feared neither God nor man.
Zephaniah 3:3:
"Her princes in her midst are roaring lions;
Her judges are evening wolves
That leave not a bone till morning."!!!
No I don't think they will either even if some of them know Greer's decision was evil. Next to abortion in 1973 it's probably the worst decision I've ever seen, this judge has some serious reckoning to do with his maker.
Or maybe I read an unbiased, for either side, time line on the situation.
Yes it is.
The pictures you have posted effectively communicate what is transpiring. Don't let the o-so-civilized beat you down. Horror should alwys be revealed, especially to the comfortable -- who posses the means to effect change but often refuse to do so (so as not to disturb their comfort).
I have two family members whose lives have been saved by dialysis. One is a diabetic, the other had cardiac arrest and some strange blood infection.
We did need humor on this thread. It is getting too serious and stuffy here, about this Schiavo thing. Every deck has it's "Joker". I'm glad to know you are FR's Joker. How quaint. Joker Mrs. Mark. Thank you.
If a newborn baby is left in a crib and not fed, would it be dying due to it's original inability to feed itself? This just to point out the moral depravity of your statement.
She has recovered from the original event...the brain impairment is secondary to the original event.
and only intensive medical care has keep her body going, with out her ever regaining consciousness.
Intensive medical care has not kept her body going. She's been lucky to get minimal medical care. Despite her brain impairment, she is physically healthy. Those contractures? Those are from lack of care per order of Michael.
She is dying because she has no brain functions, food and water in her mouth would choke her.
She has survived 15 years with her brain impairment. She is dying because the courts decided it was okay to discontinue feeding her. She is dying from dehydration.
food and water in her mouth would choke her.
...could choke her. That is why a suction apparatus would be at the bedside. She has taken a some foods (jello) by mouth in the past.
Absofrigginlutely. How about pictures of Terri's state right now. Bet that would change the equation. From the reports of her father's body language today after he came out of her room, I'm sure it wouldn't be pretty. Nothing wrong with showing our boys in Vietnam being blow up nightly, but noooooooooooooooo, we don't want to see a poor girl purposely being starved to death, and a wack job lawyer giving commentary on how peaceful she looks with the stuffed animal under her arm. (take a breath)
That sounds like a statement that a ten year old would make.
If you feed her baby food she would choke on it, this is not like feeding a baby. Her injuries 15 years ago sealed her fate. Sorry.
Who are you? The common-law wife of Mark Schiavo? How's the two kids?
You don't have to do anything, Diogenesis. Mrs Mark insults herself through her posts.
Thats because I am young at heart! :)
"Thats because I am young at heart! :)"
I wonder how young your heart would feel after thirteen days without water or food. Try it on your dog sometime.
Ohh that hurts. I think I am going to be sad. :(
This is Mary, my spoiled little brat...
Didn't you meant that in the reverse order???
This fact alone hurts their chances. Although not legally relevant, I don't think I'd be shocked to learn that at this point the Justices might be afraid to second-guess themselves and order that the feeding tube be reconnected.
