Luzurne County PA is probably one of the weirdest Counties in the entire nation.
I will be buried there alongside my family from Wales, on a hill overlooking the muddy banks of the mighty Sesquehanna River. I can't wait! (sort of)
Somewhere I think there's a Luzurne County ping list... if anyone here knows about that, let me know. If there isn't one, there should be! I can't tell you, I've read probably 20 articles this year alone about weird stuff in Luzurne County... the guy who thought the neighbors were witches and had barricaded himself in his home, for one!!!
"Da valley" certainly is an "interesting" place.
I don't know of any ping list, but if you hear of any, let me know. If there isn't one, I might just start one.
Lots of Welsh in the area (along with Scottish, Irish, English, Italians, and Eastern Europeans); probably due to the coal mines.
I think I "ran into you" on another thread, perhaps discussing the "Tilbury"?
