How is bottled water "artificially provided sustenance and hydration" and what specific law was violated?

We all have an ability to discern what's right, and do it. Helping Terri is right. Obeying the law for the purpose of harming another is worse than wrong.

Yes, the power of the President to pardon is plenary and unrestricted.

Me too. In a minute. The many peace officers in my family agree.

Can the President pardon a "state" offense? Or only a federal one?

No, but the Governor can, including probably a self-pardon.

See http://www.usdoj.gov/pardon/

These guys coming down here need to realize that these police officers work in a county where most of the population is armed...legally, and a high percentage of locals have CCW.

The Cops here don't play. Remember how fast they put that riot in St. Petersburg down. Their attitude toward how they approach their jobs is reflected in the reality that guns are still a part of life here and most people have em..

So those coming here from states that have restrictive gun laws may be used to dealing with officers who aren't so much under the gun, so to speak. These guys don't get that extra second to react. They can be efficient and they may appear ruthless in the process. I hope the foolishness here does not escalate into stupidity.

But how many other people at this moment are suffering her same fate in the countless hospices around the country?

I would say just about zero...Hospice is for and filled with terminal patients...Terri is not terminal...She is being terminated...There's a huge difference...

The next governor could, because if Jeb's impeached and convicted he isn't governor any more. Kind of like Nixon and Ford. Where is Fla.'s Lieutenant Governor on this issue? Haven't heard a peep.

Jeb, and the "republicans" who support his non-action, are jokes of the first order. They are usurpers of conservatism; conservatives in name only. The GOP does itself no favors by encouraging such people to run for office.

Jeb supposedly converted to the Catholic faith and his wife is a devout Catholic. I call upon Mrs. Bush to take your husband before the Blessed Sacrament at the altar of your parish church and ask, "What would Jesus do?"

I call upon Jeb's pastor and bishop to talk to this man and inform him.

As governor he HAS the AUTHORITY to uphold and defend fundamental constitutional and human rights, to use FORCE OF ARMS even if necessary to defend innocent life. Every man is ultimately answerable to his own Maker. But this is just plain common sense and basic ethics. "Morality 101." The Hippocratic Oath: "First, do NO HARM..." Just connect the dots, folks. Who is calling the shots here?

Coffeetime, Jeb is finished in the next election.
This Terri story will be the big issue.
If I was the Democrat I would say this.
If you have a sick relative, you know Jeb will let you die.
I will send in the state troopers to save you.
You know the Democrat who runs against Jeb is going to say this.

If he was going in to get Terri, shouldn't he have been charged with attempted kidnapping?

No, because she would go willingly...
