I quite disagree with you. Unless you have only been on FR for a few months.

Jim Robinson is a very wise man. He allows all this ruckus and discussion to take place (sans the death threats and nazi's hijacking things)...because in it, in all of it, usually the truth comes out, even if it is a seemingly painful process. The Elian Gonzalez threads were thought at the time to tear up the FR completely, over the issue of relative's rights and deceased mom's wishes for Elian vs. his father's rights (and Uncle Fidel). We're still here. The GOP primaries in 2000, and PJB's challenge, really ripped up FR. But still, it lives on. The Willie Green-sinkspur Free Trade threads in the late 1990s. FR never dissolved. In fact, there have been many issues where we've fought like hell on two different sides. FR will always be here.

Now, whether our CONSTITUTIONAL FREEDOMS such as right to LIFE, will last forever, that's another thing!

I think that is a very helpful perspective. It is a near impossibility they would do it, but thank you for keeping that as a thought before us all.

Noting the Keywords for this article at the top of the thread.

Just a portion of these only were put in by myself. The thread gremlins are resorting to a little fun on the rest of them. Here are the only words I thought that were relevant that I put up. Granted, they show a value judgement in this situation, but they are relative tame:

1998; BACKBONE; BUSH; CONVICTION; COURAGE; DISABILITY; DISABLED; FAMILY; FEARLESS; FIBER; FLORIDA; GUTS; HANDICAPPED; HOSPICES; INAUGURAL; INTEGRITY; JEB; JEBBUSH; MORALS; PROLIFE; QUALITY; RTL; SCHIAVO; STRENGTH; TENACITY; TERRI; TERRISCHIAVO; VISION;

And here are the "Gremlins" non-germane contributions:

BEGINABLOODYSHOWDOWN; BLAMEBUSH; BOZOS; COMMANDOMISSION; CRANKARGUMENT; DOGSANDCATS; DUTROLLAGITATOR; GOVERNORISKING; IMPEACHJEB; ITSBUSHSFAULT; JEBISJUDAS; KEYESDICTATOR; LETTERS; LIFE; LOVE; OSCARMAYER; PASSINGJUDGEMENT; POINTLESSCHIDING; ROLLSEYES; SIMPLYAMAZING; STORMTHEHOSPICE; THETHREADSTILLSTANDS; WHACKO;

What's THAT supposed to mean? What kind of nitwit goes in and adds to FReeper's keywords by editorializing or abject nonsense? What is the policy on this? Can we edit the editors? I'd like to specifically get an explanation as to what is meant by "DUTROLLAGITATOR". Who does this refer to? If there is a person on this thread who is a member of "DU", who is a "troll", I'd like to know who?

Oh please, let's stop calling everyone we disagree with Pilate or Hitler. It's really immature.

Umm, that's my point, Indy Penance. People are tearing into Jeb Bush so much that they forget who the real villians are here.

Where is the cite in Florida law that allows a judge to arrest a governor?

Any judge trying that would be in gross violation of the constitutional process.

The best any judge could do is issue a contempt of court order. The governor, claiming co-equal status to interpret the constitution, can ignore it. Then it could go to the legislature for debate to determine if the court order is legitimate or the governor is correct. Or maybe the legislature would ignore it all.

Any judge trying to arrest a governor for interpreting a constitutional matter and acting on his belief is subjecting himself to arrest and impeachment for violating the constitutional process.

Where are you getting the information that a judge can arrest a governor?

The office of the executive comes with privileges and constitutional procedures that must be followed to legally challenge the executive. A governor cannot be arrested like a common drunk.

This is the video that should be shown on the news everynight - it is even more powerful than the balloon video.

This is not reflex action - she heard the doctor, she opened her eyes as wide as she could to impress him.

Even Fox news has ignored this clip.

It's like abortion. When people actually see the procedure (particularly partial birth abortion), those with actual human consciences, who otherwise would be in support of those life-denying measures, are very apt to change their tune.

How could anybody starve such a person to death (after seeing that video), let alone deny them daily Holy Communion which is their religious right under the Constitution. An innocent person, guilty of no crime, who's family plead that they will take care of her so her ex-husband get on with his life, his new wife and their two children.

Look, if this is right or wrong from the judge it doesnt matter.. The cops WILL handcuff Jeb.. Jeb cant stand there and say "I am the gov and you cant arrest me". They will turn him around and put him in the car. Even if ALL the cops and the judge lost there jobs, the simple fact is Jeb would be arrested for a short period of time. This would kill his political future. At this point with this activist judge, it doesnt matter what the law said or who has more power.. Jeb would be arrested and then win on appeal.

If he were convicted, President Bush could pardon him, but presidential pardons don't extend to mere charges.

I thought that Nixon wasn't charged with anything.
President Ford pardoned Nixon.

The Power has very rarely been used that way, and it doesn't appear to be in line with original intent.
