Jeb Bush has been trying to help Terri for years now. Longer than most of us have even known of the situation. He is a good man and needs our prayers and encouragement and not our condemnation.
If you didn’t know it, he is not perfect but he does try to do the right thing. This is more than we can say about many of our political figures.
Maybe he can't do more like he says or maybe he's wrong. But I am not willing to throw away what little hope we have in decent people governing our country.
To those who wish to compare Jeb to Pontius Pilot remember who Jesus said had the greater sin.
We need to concentrate our efforts on those people who truly deserve our disdain.
Therefore, the governor is a slave to the judiciary, and must carry out unconstitutional orders. This means there is no Constitution, there is no rule of law. The judge IS the law, and whatever he says must be obeyed. He says to kill, so the governor must kill, and unconstitutionally deprive someone of the right to life.
And yet, the governor did not pledge an oath to obey unconstitutional court orders. He pledged:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support, protect, and defend the Constitution and Government of the United States and of the State of Florida; that I am duly qualified to hold office under the Constitution of the state; and that I will well and faithfully perform the duties of (title of office) on which I am now about to enter. So help me God."His oath is to uphold the Constitution, not to fulfill the unlawful wishes of a judge.
There is no denying Jeb Bush felt the court order was inappropriate. Just the other day, he said new information in the Terri Schiavo case, which had been ignored by the judiciary, “raises serious concerns and warrants immediate action” to intervene. He then stated, “If there's any uncertainty, we should err on the side of protecting her. We're exhausting all executive options . . . to save Terri's life.”
He said that if any error was to be made, it should be on the side of saving Terri. President Bush said the same thing.
Now is the time, Governor Bush and President, when you are being called to risk making that error. Err on the side of life.

I'll say this for Terri, she's tough as nails to have lasted this long without food or water. For a person wanting to die, she sure has held on and hung tough. It is making Felos look like a jackass standing there casually remarking on how she isn't nearly gone yet.
I also read somewhere that he said that there is to much emotion involved in this. Shame on Jeb and his brother! I have been one of their biggest fans up until this. They have done wrong and I hope they wil realize it, but somehow I doubt it. I think Americans will see that it is them who in this are the cowards! Yes, Greer, HINO, and Felos are all responsible, but Jeb and George are worthless and certainly they have no bravery! COWARDS!!!!!!!!!

I said this on an earlier thread. This could be Jeb's Chappaquiddic moment. He either is up to the task of saving this woman or he isn't. I know that may sound offensive to some, as he obviously didn't cause her situation the way Kennedy did. But he has the power to save her, at great risk to himself. Right now he looks like a coward. He still has time. I'm praying for him, or his brother to rise to the occasion.
If anything this case has raised awareness of this difficult issue.

The Bushs' are done politically - I will never volunteer again for them - they show their MA liberal elitist values once they get in power. I would rather know my enemy than one who stabs me in the back - the Bushs' are back stabbers plain and simple.
I think its DISGUSTING that they are starving this poor women.
