Judges would have thrown most of Columbo's evidence out of court. If not for the confessions he often got (no Miranda, BTW) he wouldn't have any convictions.

What did the docs supposedly do? Or not do?
He sued the ob-gyn, I read, for failing to take a complete medical history, i think but I couldn't find details as to what he claimed resulted from it.
