#59 I think that would be a false analogy. By it's very nature, war is tragic, because we make war not against specific individuals but against a people. As an example, we did not make war against Hitler and Emperor Hirohito, but against Germany and Japan. That's what confuses the issue in our present conflict. On 911, we were attacked, not by individual terrorists, but by individuals purporting to speak for and represent their people and their culture in a jihad against the Infidel(all of us). Innocents were killed. In proof, the Muslim world gloated and celebrated the event in full view on the evening news. Yet, as evidence of our honor, we continue to deal with the enemy as individuals. Furthermore, a large and increasing proportion of the civilian deaths in Iraq are Muslim on Muslim.
I continue to think that Terri is the victim of a abusive and manipulative husband and a biased and corrupt judicial storm. Just my perception - I'm no lawyer. The whole process has been highly questionable. We will never know the facts, and precedent in case law is established which endangers all of us who find ourselves in extreme health conditions. Hard time finding that acceptable. Sorry for the length...
