According to a Gallup Poll out today, 63% of conservative evangelicals thought congress and the president overstepped their authority to allow for a federal court to consider Terri's case. 63%! Don't tell me evangelical Christians support a "culture of life."

I agree that they overstepped their authority in this case and I personally applaud them for it. Now if only Jeb would overstep his and rescue an innocent woman from being killed by starvation and dehydration...

63% of conservative evangelicals
63% of conservative evangelicals (polled by Gallup) thought congress and the president overstepped their authority.
Any poll can be manipulated to show any outcome you want. You just have to weed out those answers that don't fit your predetermined outcome.
Don't tell me evangelical Christians support a "culture of life."
Alright, I won't tell you that, but I will tell you the evangelical Atheists are doing a whole lot of supporting the "culture of death."
Anyone who puts any faith in POLLS hasn't been paying attention to the last several months worth of poll manipulation.

Where's your proof evangelical Christians make up all of that 63%? You're positive there were no Catholics in the 63%? Wow amazing mind powers you must have. I'm an evangelical. All this time I thought I supported a culture of life. Thanks for alerting me that I don't. Good grief.

Amazing how people will believe everything Gallup says when they can bash someone they don't like, but hate gallup when they disagree. Don't act like a liberal.

Polls are irrelevant. Our rights come from God not from Man or the hand of the State. An older generation knew that lesson. Today values are the subject of a popularity contest: which values will least cause us inconvenience or a financial burden? How the times have changed.

You're right. My my husband used to work for a market research company which tabulated one of the prominent political polls.
We never trust polls.

Yep, I'm in full agreement with you.
My beliefs are not subject to manipulation by poll numbers. I wouldn't make a good politician...

I've been part of the evangelical church for over 30 years. I've seen it become evermore weak, preaching an increasingly insipid gospel in favor of "seeker-friendly" pop psychology and motivational messages; I've seen the increasingly
"Christlessness" in evangelical sermons; I've seen the increasing powerlessness of evangelical Christianity; it's increasing prayerlessness; its denial of the Holy Spirit. Yes, I believe this poll.

Our Founding Fathers believed in Natural Law not values. As I have said a number of times values are not the same.
Natural Law comes from the external. Values are internal.
Natural Law is unchanging. Values differ based on the holder and his experience, situation, etc.
Natural Law applies to all. Values apply to the individual as he interprets them.
Values, like polls, can be maniipulated.

My husband didn't do Zogby. :) I think it was a poll that predates Zogby's that his company did. Anyway, you're correct, Zogby says it all on this subject. :)
