I guess their curse is not as powerful as it used to.:)
Ping!
Could China be the Dragon in Revelation Chapter 12? I wonder if there are any young Chang Kai Cheks ready to take front and center stage?
I am sure there is one somewhere. It is just a matter of right circumstance unfolding.
Just like Algore overplayed his hand.
Just like Osama bin Laden overplayed his hand.
Just like Saddam Hussein overplayed his hand.
Just like the courts are overplaying their hand.
Remind me to never play poker with the Prez. He'd probably get my house, car, and wife out of a game.
<< Thank you China for self-destructing and in the process giving liberals unintended pain to watch Bush prevail in Europe.
I guess its curse is not as powerful as it used to be. :) >>
The Peking-based predatory pack of lying, looting, thieving, mass-murdering psychopathologically-hesperophobic gangster bastards that so grandiosely calls itself "china" has for too long been reading and believing its own Goebbelsian propaganda.
The propaganda, that is, that announces a given year's
"growth" eleven months before the end of the year -- fails to take into account that 40% of that slave state's "income" [Loot!] comes from intellectual theft and counterfeiting, at least 10% more from drug and weapons-running and from the various other forms of the systemic criminal activities that pass for "business" and "government" there. And paying no heed that most of the balance from the foreign investments of OPM [Other people's monies] by "The-[Bollock-Naked!]-Emperor-is Splendardly-Clothed" school corporate ignoramuses who also believe "china's" delusional Goebbel's School fantasies. And none that the looted net outflow is greater than the sum of even all the delusionally-fantasized "income" alluded to above.
"China" will successfully invade Taiwan the year Israel is defeated by the plo, Canada invades and defeats the United States, Pakistan kicks India's arse, france wins a war -- any war -- and Hell freezes over.
He plays real-world no-limit Texas hold 'em. The lesson is simple:
Don't F*** With W!
Don't be too fast to close this one out. This ballgame is still in the early innings.
You mean that the embargo may still be lifted?
Word to that.
"Don't be too fast to close this one out. This ballgame is still in the early innings."
I agree. The frenchies have never allowed morality to get in the way of their weapons business with despotic regimes before.
Thanks for your great reporting of these news items never carried here by our left wing MSM.
Is Lincoln running China now?
I guess that depends upon how old the house and car are, and how much a man enjoys the companionship of his wife.
GWB only acts stupid! I've loved watching him take these 'sophisticates' for a ride time and time again.
Great tagline! (Through Adversity to the Stars, if my latin is up to speed)
Isn't that the motto of the RAF as well?
No, but I'm sure they would be happy to quote him if they saw it as being in their interests.
No surprise here, according to Thomas Lifson:
"One final note on George W. Bushs management style and his Harvard Business School background does not derive from the classroom, per se. One feature of life there is that a subculture of poker players exists. Poker is a natural fit with the inclinations, talents, and skills of many future entrepreneurs. A close reading of the odds, combined with the ability to out-psych the opposition, leads to capital accumulation in many fields, aside from the poker table.
"By reputation, the President was a very avid and skillful poker player when he was an MBA student. One of the secrets of a successful poker player is to encourage your opponent to bet a lot of chips on a losing hand. This is a pattern of behavior one sees repeatedly in George W. Bushs political career. He is not one to loudly proclaim his strengths at the beginning of a campaign. Instead, he bides his time, does not respond forcefully, a least at first, to critiques from his enemies, no matter how loud and annoying they get. If anything, this apparent passivity only goads them into making their case more emphatically."

I've been posting on it as an analogy re:Schiavo for days:

This was a horrible thing Bush did.
It was so out of character and so contradictory of Bush doctrine.
Yet Condi in Beijing still made the same sort of comments as Bush did on that Deecember 2003 day.
They are all for democracy except for Taiwan which must be subservient to China, a dictatorial regime.
