A darn shame. Rest in peace brother. He had a distinctive style that was unrivaled in the annals of music history.
I shall play Slow Ride now in In Memoriam.

When I was High School you always knew when Foghat had just played a show, because the next day you'd see all the kids wearing the hats with "Fog" written on them.

Ironic that this accident be reported to us by such a moniker as "my favorite headache".

Seeing your post with the album covers reenforces one of the greatest losses with the rise of the CD, album cover art and liner notes are all but dead. Somehow, the covers of Sgt Pepper etc., Dark Side of the Moon, Roger Dean's stuff, etc. just don't make it on the 5x5 format.

Shoot, I was just listening to them today. Great tunes.

Lonesome Dave Foghat played a small venue here a few years ago and Lonesome Dave passed a year or so after that. I don't imagine they made a lot of money touring places like this, so it must be they just liked performing.

Foghat's asking price per-show is around 7k and it is more about paying the bills than doing it because they loved it...lol.

Damn! I saw them with Blue Oyster Cult in the early 80's. Helluva show.
Catch you on the flip side Mr. Price... RIP.

Just to update this, the "stairway fall" was not the cause of death, but a massive coronary. http://www.foghat.net/
