"Earlier on the show I thought I heard that nurse who cared "for Terri say that her blood sugar was very low when she first came in. Did she mean first collapsed or first arrived at the hospice? Or did I just hear her incorrectly?"

I heard her say yesterday that after Michael had been in her room 20 minutes with the door closed, he then left, and Terri was very agitated, lethargic, she went to get the glucometer. She didn't say it was zero, nor a number, but said something like it was flat, and she was very hypoglycemic. She then saw the syringe marks and checked in the trash and found the syringe.

He said, (and maybe this is well known and I just missed it), that when the police were first called to Schiavo's residence on the night of Terri's injury, they were initially investigating it as a crime scene. They thought she had been attacked.

Not only that, hino had differing stories as to what had happened. He didn't bother calling 911 but called her brother instead. The brother called dad and when they got there, hino hadn't done a thing to help her. Dad called 911. The devil has been with hino all these years.

Hubby is mercifully skiing right now. But the medical examiner by law is the one who determines need for autopsy in many cases. Usually the person who dies within 24 hours of admit to a hospital, suspicious conditions at home, without attendance by a physician under suspicious circumstances, crime victims, etc.

The Medical Examiner or coroner has alot of authority to determine need. Most times if a sick person dies under treatment by a MD who signs the Death Cert, they don't do it even if it is at home or in a hospital.

He could order a post if he wished and nobody could overerule him. The ME is a law unto himself. I wonder who the ME is in Pinellas county. Some are MD's and some are not.

Either Jeb Bush and DCF act now or turn the state over to the rat in the robe. If it's true that DCF can act without the robed ones blessing, then they're wasting time that Terri doesn't have.

I heard Bill Bennett interviewed on this issue. He said there was a time in this country, (pre-clinton?) when there would have been comity between the branches of government.

I had to look up "comity".

It means, "harmony", "The principle by which the courts of one jurisdiction may accede or give effect to the laws or decisions of another". That if the Congress passed the Terri law, that the judicial would make EVERY attempt to accomodate that ruling. And NOT parse out if every 'T' was crossed and every 'I' was dotted.

We are so far past that in this country!

I don't know if it can be regained. But, post-clinton, I wouldn't have thought I would see many things I have seen in this country. There is always hope, because we have God.

Why does Terri need to be in renal failure for them to act.

I'm not speaking from an ethical viewpoint, but a legal one. If she's gone into renal failure, it's defining evidence of "imminent danger". I'm sure DCF is working on getting this ruling overturned right now, and they probably want to gather as much evidence as possible for their case.

The affidavit linked at this thread is a doc who DCF uses in investigations. His affidavit is dated today. I wonder how they can ignore the advice of those they consult? You need to read the whole thing.

But Terri is hogtied in Greerland. Terri's rights are what Greer says they are. All things related to Terri are approached via Greer's court. He has just blown off the US Congress and now (as freeper Lizarde put it) issued a restraining order against the Executive branch of the State of Florida. Isn't that extraordinary?

Terri is being treated as if she's MS's property in George Greer's kingdom. Not a US citizen with Constitutional rights. And the DCF seems to be playing along with that farce, by going to Greer. Greer's hold over Terri was supposed to be over when the POTUS signed that bill.
