Where are all those "save the whale" people? Save the harp seal?
If they can't be vocal for saving Terri, the next time some "save the" person asks me for support, I'm going to ask them where were they when Terri Schiavo needed them?
This is soooooooooooooo heartbreaking. There are hundreds if not thousands of people on feeding tubes. Does this mean that the next time some adulterous, scheming, POS of a "husband" wants to kill his wife by withdrawing food and water he'll have precedent????
Euthanasia is the Flip Side of Abortion.
And for that reason alone, the "left" won't speak out.
Bunch of wussies.
I will write a note in every envelope I get from Sierra Club, etc, and tell them they should have spoken out about Terri.

She's going to be cremated immediately (another of Michael's requests). The evidence will be destroyed.
Ahah! I was wondering if there'd be an autospy (I was fairly sure Michael wouldn't want that either). I read a lot of true crime and it is common when one spouse kills another to get the body cremated ASAP even when it goes against the religious beliefs of the family. They can't afford to worry for years about a possible exhumation.

Sit by and let this happen Jeb Bush and George Bush - lets see what history will say of you, you have the power to stop this but do nothing - shame. Thats just not a realistic expectation, they are human beings that live in an imperfect world just like you and I, all having limitations.

Exposing the "far left"?? If you have been reading on Free Republic, you have surely seen all the Freepers who want Terri dead too--they'll say it's "her wishes" (not even knowing if, in fact, they were), or "states rights" or even "sanctity of marriage"--but it comes down to one thing: if their side wins, Terri, an innocent woman who has committed no crime, will be dead.

THANK YOU LANA JACOBS FOR TRYING.
The Romans at least offered Jesus water. And the hateful husband can't even do that?

There's a section missing:

but I did nothing.

"He is the President of the United States - if he wants to send troops into that room he can - who would stop him??????"
Please. President Bush does not have the authority to do this.
This is not some third world dictatorship.

"Why does Google have an icon of their letters half full of water drippinng into a bowl?"
I have wondered the same thing all day. At first I thought it was about spring, i.e. melting snow, but that doesn't make a lot of sense.

I am not chilling champagne, but look, according to her husband (argue all you want about what his actual intentions are) and the courts have confirmed this - this is what Terri wanted.
If this is what she wanted, then I am okay with it. Nobody really knows except her and God, and she will be with him soon, not trapped in a shell.

It still doesn't matter. Bush doesn't have the right to interfere with a judicial decree. He can appeal, he can file motions, he can do a lot of things.
But seizing the person is not one of them. It would be like Charlie Rangel rescuing Michael Jackson and getting him out of the country during his trial. Not a valid congressional power on his part.
To: sasafras
The president did what he legally can do. Jeb hasn't had anything within his power recently that he could do. It is in the courts hands, as bad as I hate it. But ultimately, it is in the Lord's hands, and if He allows our nation to kill Terri, I pray His mercy and forgiveness on us all.

Not to mention his Ladies of Free Republic Fan Club. What?

"Thats just not a realistic expectation" Yes it is, please see post 103, above.
No...it really isn't, and I read 103 already. Under that logic, one might expect the Jeb and the President to make all abortions illegal and try and convict all abortion doctors as murderers, and send them to the chair tomorrow.
But thats just not going to happen either...they have limitations.
