Something like this happened to an uncle of mine who made sausage. He didn't watch where he was walking and backed into a sausage grinder. Yup, he got a little behind in his work.

I also wonder if there was any type of fall protection available at his workstation. If he did topple from above, he obviously wasn't wearing a restraining device such as a body harness with lanyards. I also wonder why the top of the grinder had access from above. Was a cover or guard removed or missing?
