Anytime you have a so-called "free trade" pact - NAFTA, WTO - that entails tens of thousands of rules managed by thousands of unelected bureaucrats, it's not free trade. At best, it's managed trade. At worse it's a set of contrived rules established by an elite oligarchy to suppress free market competition.
Free trade can be boiled down to a single sentence - the movement of goods and services across borders without hindrance or let.

Too late all or our elected leaders are One World Government proponents. No turning back.

The fundamental problem is that most of the Republican elite and the interests who provide the party with the majority of its money view the Uniteds States primarily as a market. The rest of us would still prefer to view it as a nation.

Bush is a liberal plain and simple IMO, this sorry situation lies outside the usual liberal/conservative disputes.
Can y'all say "new world order"?
Combine this with Hilary's care-village and where are we? Even with inflation, are we at about a nickels worth of difference?

You're right. Our fearless leaders have us committed to the master plan.
In order to fold us into that plan they must first reduce our nation's status to that of Third World Nations.
IT's taking a little longer than expected, but the sheep are following.

I believe the FTAA is slowed, but not permanently stalled. All these threads and posts were put up in the last day or two.
The East Asian countries are setting up their own economic zone, exactly in the same model of the FTAA, in the next month or so.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1366765/posts?page=1#1
The Russians are creating an economic zone with CIS. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1366765/posts?page=8#8
The move to create 10 world regions is creating these economic zones:

The Asian countries move to "institutionalize" the summits and create an organization to "keep records" is to create a structure just like the OAS and Summit of the Americas
Trade is being used to force economic integration
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1364319/posts?page=170#170
And a big step toward getting our hemisphere in line is the New Partnership for North America, or NAFTA-plus which the President, Mexico's president and the PM of Canada will be discussing at the Bush ranch in a few days.

But one of things that is so striking about America in the last two centuries, has been our ability to absorb even catastrophic damage before we "see the light", so to speak. Many people still blindly believe that we live in a constitutional republic, and have faith that our "leaders" wouldn't do this to America. I do think that they're finally waking up. If this monstrosity is forced on us, I believe a revolution is right around the corner.
To: philman_36
You're map might need adjusting. If NAFTA plus is forced on the American people, then Mexico will integrate with the US, not Latin America. I am sure Mexico would rather do this, because there is a lot more money to be looted from the American taxpayer than South America.

I wonder what will happen when a Judge does decree it illegal for U.S. citizens to protect the border. (snicker)
Why is it so hard to imagine?
In states where I'd most like to have the ability to protect myself (i.e. Illinois, California, New York, etc.), its illegal to carry concealed.

I prefer to call it a banana democracy........can't even use the term republic anymore with all this nonsense going on. Anyone who's part of the "in" crowd no longer has to worry about obeying the alleged laws....all they need is a good lawyer or lobbyist.
To: hedgetrimmer
What a charming roadmap of how the elites intend to hang the decaying, decrepit carcass known as "Mexico" around our necks. Gosh, it's so fun to listen to their little lowlife wannabe dictators rant at us. Pretty soon our very own Attorney General will be giving us severe looks and lecturing us that we better pay attention, 'cause "that's the law"...not our law, theirs.

Good article?
Well, they muffed it up in the first three words.
"Anti-immigrant sentiment".....bla, bla, bla.....
How about anti-illegal immigrant?
