When you look at a lot of these recent demonstrations, all you see is unwashed young faces. These are the militant hippies of the new Left. Brown shirts in dread locks.

What in the hell are you talking about? Have you ever been to Kyrgyzstan? If so, where, pray tell, did you find hippies?

Yeah, I'm not convinced. I've read a few of Soros's books and he may be a one world fabian socialist liberal but he's no "Stalinist" by a long shot. I think he's at least anti-Russian empire which is admirable. Putin on the other hand...

Much movement in many of the former republics these days. Surely it is no coincidence.

The point wasn't the salary, the point was where the first year's salary came from: Soros owned groups. That is treason.

Kremlin is responsible for destabilization in Caucasus region and Georgia, they supporting separatists in Abkhazja and South Ossetia and you cannot hide this facts. Kremlin also don’t want withdrew its troops from Georgia. And what is more important Kremlin certainly don’t want to kill Basaev and other terrorists.

Abhazia and Ossessia were in the process of being exterminated by the Georgians, which is why Abhaz refugees (and I've seen them with my own eyes and spoken with them) can be found as far as Greece. Abhazia was and is an independent indo-european people who were forced into the Georgian Soviet Republic by Stalin. The same for the Ossessians.

The only two reasons Moscow is still in any other part of Georgia is because of Pankisi and because the Armenians in the south, who are the majority of troops, don't want to be genocided either. As is, Armenians in Tbilisi are being driven out of areas they've lived in for 700 years. In Avlambari, the Armenian area, the government shuts off power, water and gas daily. The Georgian church appropriated a 500 year old active cemetery and built upon it a cathedral. When I say built upon it, I mean they didn't bother moving the graves, they took bulldozers to the holy ground and started construction.

Only people with proper Georgians last names are also allowed into the universities. Racism to the extreme, but then again, all of you defending the Latvian racism shouldn't have problems with it. All part of your "Christian" love. The sick part is when certain "Poles" here are defending Nazi marches in Riga. How sickeningly low can a human being sink? As low as the 10,000 Russian Nazis, all on the same plane.

Personally I think Moscow should:

1. cut the Georgian border totally, cut them off.
2. demand the 1 million Georgians living in Russia for 13 years either take Russian citizenship or be expelled back to Georgia.
3. block off all monetary transactions from Georgians in Russia back to Georgia
4. cut all gas and electricity to Georgia until it pays it's $200 million bill. Enough welfare. I'm sure the EU will be willing to pay the tab or supply Georgia with benzine, oil, gas and electricity.
5. demand a closure of the Pankisi border and upon not receiving it, treat any incursions from Pankisi by islamics as acts of war and proceed accordingly. Shiete or get off the pot, son, that's the name of the game.
6. as Georgia's only market for most of it's only industry: produce, a full economic embargo.

If Georgians want to spit in Russia's eye, fine, close them off and treat them like an enemy neighbor. I'm sure the EU will buy it all up, it's got lots of money. /sarcasm

OK enough, unproved anti-Georgian tales you need to save for your children.

The sick part is when certain "Poles" here are defending Nazi marches in Riga. How sickeningly low can a human being sink? As low as the 10,000 Russian Nazis, all on the same plane.

My only post about Latvia, you are a liar!! You should be banned for this statement above!!!!

I also think that the Balts don’t have anything to celebrate, although parades of their SS Waffen isn’t a thing which I would like to see or even hear about.

Uzbeks have suddenly emerged as the second largest ethnic group in the country after the titular majority, a fact that has unsettled many Kyrgyz

Orange/Rose/Cedar/Lemon/Onion/Garlic revolutions seems to be evolving toward ethnically based civil wars.

Unfortunately you may be quite right in your statement. For some nations this is the wake of their long dormant national identity. And a chance to wrestle for some priviliges for their own people. Such process may lead to potential open military conflicts in some ex-USSR countries. This is definitely something Russia will not be handle on its own, politically. Too many interest groups in that particular region (Chinese, Russian, USA).

The Yugoslavia formula has been perfected - create ethnic splits - ignore election results - get violent - demand autonomy - gain independence.

"The cities of Osh and Jalal-Abad in Kyrgyzstan's impoverished south near the border with Uzbekistan have borne the brunt of the demonstrations, which have seen protestors take over several government buildings, police stations and airports. " - small Uzbek minority

Yes, I find it scary that there seems to be an army of anarchists (New Age Hippies) who hate everything the wealth of the West has given them, including the leisure and money to travel from place to place to riot.

<> He is a rabble rouser. He is so anti-fascist that he is pro-Communist. And, the irony of it is they are two sides of the same coin. This from a man who has used the capitalist system to create obscene wealth.
