However, he did seem to have the answer for everyone who's ever shot at a deer and missed: Just slow your bullet down to 55MPH, put a set of headlights on it, and give it a horn... The deer will jump right in front of that bullet!
Ugh.
You're right: Hit three with various cars the past 38 years.
Still scary driving after dark out here outside of Atlanta, particularly near the battlefield wooded areas.

'be careful of what you wish for'
Sheryl heard that phrase for months from me. Her girlfriend (the driver) had a few other choice words to describe her wish.

I was curious as to where the deer were so plentiful.
I live in an residential area that once had higher densities than the best parts of Texas and hunting in the parks has made them quite scarce again. Also, the Pa State Game Commissioner just resigned because they have exerminated deer from even the best haunts of Potter Co, etc.
I would like to hunt where you are - I got skunked last year.

Years ago I worked for a car dealer in southern Florida. One day when I arrived at work there was a crowd gathered at the service area. Seems a customer had run into a deer, drove the car with the deer hanging out the front windshield to the dealer, and left a note asking them to fix the damage and call her when her car was ready.
Being the 'FNG', it was my job to remove the deer and clean up the car as best I could. Miracle the lady survived the crash.

I was curious as to where the deer were so plentiful. I am in Georgia. I usually hunt down in the southwestern part of the state, and it is not totally overrun with deer, but there are a heck of a lot more of them now than there were when I was growing up. The most deer I have seen is in some of the counties just too the east of Macon.
I think that the management of the deer population in Georgia is working out pretty well, all things considered. According to the things I have seen from the DNR, over 60% of all hunters bagged at least one deer last season.

In other words, like fetuses and Terri, deer have become inconvenient cellular masses.
Typical Liberal claptrap.
Deer have a place on the food chain. Note the position of their eyes...on the side of the skull...prey. Note the position of our eyes...on the front of the skull...predator. Get over it, you whining libs! The deer are out of control because you and your PETA-pukes have over-controlled the deer's most efficient natural predator...man! You bought into the whole Bambi shtick and now you are seeing the unintended consequenses.
I don't see vermin or pests. I see a marvelous source of healthy protein for all of us, especially the homeless and poor. Virginia has a program where hunters can donate their harvest to food banks. Of course, the liberal elites who buy up the rural property and ban hunting, even bow hunting, don't see what their potential contribution is to the problem. They just whine when their expensive landscaping becomes a midnight snack...for Bambi.
