Yes surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome can be risky. Otherwise, this article is pure CRAP.

Oh right, let me see, they took their sampling from those who sought treatment for STDs?

Ever date a private school girl? Hehe... I can say from experience, there's some truth to the aforementioned depravity.

I don't want to start a flame war, but expecting a human being to be 100% chaste until they're married is getting a little unreasonable.
Consider the average age for marriage is now 26 or so.
I expect chasity until marriage. And marriage should be much earlier than 26. Married housing in dorms, and a general acceptance of early marriage iis needed in this culture.

So, are we to believe that if teens do not chose abstinence, that they will be LESS LIKELY to engage in risky sex acts? I've actually known (but never dated) more than one girl who subscribed to this bizarre philosophy. A good proportion of the girls who were into "abstinence" basically implemented it as doing everything except vaginal sex.
Does this make sense? Not really. But it is far more common among the girls that claim abstinence than I would have guessed not knowing any better. Incidentally, This predates the Clinton/Monica thing, so I wouldn't blame it on him. I remember one girl telling me she learned it in Catholic school of all places. Go figure.

I have a difficult time equating anal sex with abstinence. Me neither, but I've known plenty of nutty girls who did. It suggests that the definitions of abstinence are not well-defined for many teenagers.

And late marriages will become early divorces if people are marrying in their mid-30's with 20+ sexual relationships in their history. Not to mention the illegitimate kids, abortions, and STDs they'll engender before they get there.
Humans are biologically meant to marry in their late teens and early 20's. People now are delaying the maturation process way, way past that. Their "options" and "life choices" include behaving like an adolescent well into adulthood.

Point well taken. But that kind doesn't make babies, spread disease, or otherwise ruin very many lives. And even that temptation can be successfully fought.

They're really reaching here.
And it is a little odd for the liberal press to admit that anal sex is a means for transmitting STDs. You never hear this mentioned in stories about gays, do you?
