What may surprise many of you, and may not surprise others is that outside of the Sunni triangle, George Bush and the US are wildly popular. Many people view the US as their only friend in the international communities, while Al Jazeera represents the other Arab societies that have either aided in the repression of the Iraqi people... Yes, I've seen this as well, pretty much since my arrival in Iraq.
Funny how our mainstream media doesn't find it worthwhile to point this out, isn't it?
