Thanks for the response. You see how this article would give somebody a totally different impression?
The article sounds like they are changing the votes neccesary to confirm when all the Republicans are trying to do is bring these judges up for a vote.

Reid essentially threatened to shut down the Senate if the parliamentary tactic were used.This is a threat? Why doesn't he throw in a few grand for good measure?

That's the point. I was replying to a post that analogized the Rats threatening they'd shut down the Senate to threatening to not give a thirsty man a peanut butter sandwich. The thirsty man doesn't care. Bill doesn't care. They don't WANT those things. Conservatives don't WANT the Senate running.
