Hannity has had him on the show before, unopposed.

Did Hannity question him hard and tell him that terrorism was wrong? I'd really like to know because just having him on unopposed doesn't mean Sean likes him. But if he didn't point out the error of his ways, then you're right.

Again, Sinn Fein is to Catholicism what al Qaeda is to Islam, and President Bush is simply living up to what he has said, "You are either with us or against us."

We should be taking the same approach to Sinn Fein and its supporters that we have to people and businesses that have shown support to al Qaeda—seize their assets, arrest them for supporting terrorism.

Again, Sinn Fein is to Catholicism what al Qaeda is to Islam

A poor analogy. Sinn Fein does not claim to be a Catholic organization, which it is not, but an Irish nationalist organization. Membership in Sinn Fein is officially open to any Protestant who opposes any role for the UK in Northern Ireland.

It is more accurate to say that Sinn Fein is to Irish nationalism what Al Qaeda is to Islam - that is, the most extremely militant form of the ideology.

The Irish "liberation" movement is really nothing more than a left-wing plot to subvert Anglo-Saxon law and civilization. Thank goodness everyone in Ulster understand this and chose to stay true to England..

This is the most childish analysis of the Irish situation I have ever heard from anyone.

The modern Irish national movement began for the same reasons that the American War for Independence began.

Would you characterize the establishment of the United States as a "left-wing plot to subvert Anglo-Saxon law and civilization"?

I was under the impression that the IRA was not really around during WWI. That it was the IRB and other groups. I would like to learn more about this if you have links to the IRA/German link.

On Sinn Fein's Web site today:

Martin McGuinness challenges Orde

over handling of McCartney investigation

Published: 15 March, 2005

Sinn Féin Chief Negotiator, Martin McGuinness, has challenged the PSNI Chief Constable to publicly explain the handling of the McCartney investigation by his detectives. Pointing to growing evidence that the PSNI are holding back on charging suspects in an attempt to damage Sinn Féin, Mr McGuinness said:

"Yesterday the PSNI turned away two key people in the McCartney murder investigation, a key witness and a key suspect. Their explanation that they are making arrangements to interview the suspect is astonishing. They have been raiding homes in Belfast looking for this man yet when he offers himself for interview they turn him away. Such a course of action is unprecedented.

"Add to this the failure of the PSNI to put together an identity parade despite having eyewitnesses willing to testify and despite knowing the identities of all those involved in the killing of Robert McCartney. Normal police practice would see an identity parade organised at the earliest time to ensure the greatest chance of positive identification. In this case, six weeks after the killing, there has been no identity parade.

"It is also clear that eyewitness testimony which identifies by name some of those involved in the attack on Robert McCartney has been ignored and that a decision has been made not to arrest and charge those already identified by the eyewitness as participants in the events surrounding Robert McCartney's murder.

"Yesterday, in comments which were grossly misrepresented, I said that there are elements that are prepared to manipulate the McCartney case for political advantage. The PSNI is clearly involved in such manipulation. The PSNI's approach is not about justice; it is about damaging Sinn Fein. The PSNI are not normally reluctant to charge people. In this case the opposite is happening. I publicly challenge Hugh Orde to explain the handling of this investigation and why charges have not been brought." ENDS

McGuinness is perhaps the most well-spoken mobster I've ever heard of.

It's so obvious: Sinn Fein wants the police to build a case on the testimony of the witnesses with whom Sinn Fein provides them. Then, when the case actually comes to trial, the Sinn Fein witnesses will forget or contradict the statements they gave to the police.

The case falls apart, the murderers go free and one or two Sinn Fein supporters do a few months of easy time for perjury and emerge from prison as local heroes.

But McGuinness, an alleged IRA commander, said in what were Sinn Fein's first publicly critical comments of the family: "The McCartneys need to be very careful. To step over that line, which is a very important line, into the world of party-political politics can do a huge disservice to their campaign."

Two things come to mind:

1. What ABOSOLUTE CHEEK! This is a insulting and outrageous statement. Its totally obvious that IRA is NOT sorry about the murder - only about being caught.

2. This is a threat. I think the McCartney's better check their brakes before going on any long drives....

Which is why they are so vocal - they are now known by everyone in the UK, Ireland and most Irish households in the US, Ausdtralia and Canada.
