Hey, I'm all for any of us willing to allow any of their excellent past posts, thoughts, comparisons to be included (and attributed accordingly) or linked to.
Perhaps even work on mini memos and pool them... I've become pretty tired of repeating myself to these folks, one after another and I'm sure you guys have too.
Sounds good to me, Fred. ;o)
Your Great and Glorious Leader has spoken! May a Guinness be before you at all times.
In Memory of broadsword!
Finally a voice of reason in this thread.
These stupid knee-jerk responses that want to condemn an entire religious group are no better than the jihads of Islamic extremists.
>> Texas Cowboys, Former Dodgers, Swordfish, All for One and One for All: the Last Crusade commences! <<
All it takes for evil to succeed is for good men and women to do thing. Folks, we are NOT going to let evil succeed! Now or ever.
Here is one of my favorite web sites:
http://www.bible.com/
One of my favorite verses:
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
I don't know the koran, but I would be most happy the help search for versus to repute the koran.
"We will not hide our light under a basket.
Our hard gained information will be like a beacon for all the world to see the horror that is Islam."
I think the idea of a 'memo' is good, as long as it doesn't go on and on and on.
There are lots of concerned people coming to this forum...some are concerned in a positive way (trying to figure out what the heck is happening to their communities) and others in a negative way (what is this freekin FreeRepublic, and how do we counter-act what they are saying?)
If they are posting to us in a curious frame of mind and they start seeing these canned responses, they might just dismiss us.
Oh, heck. I'm just thinking with my fingers here.
I want the negative posters to dismiss us, they are useless on this forum anyway.
I'm just concerned with the newbies who are questioning what the heck is going on in their world...and maybe coming here for some answers..and don't frame their questions to us very well...and we give them a canned answer because we think they are trolls or disruptors.
Thank you!
The religious hate I see in this thread reminds me of what Europeans came to America to escape.
People actually saying we should ban an entire religion. Incredible ignorance.
Jorge,
Let's compare then shall we? Let's look at what the muslims have done and what the Christians have done.
Sound good?
A TOAST!
IN MEMORY OF BROADSWORD!
A TOAST!
TO THE LAST CRUSADE!
I gotta stop. I'm getting drunk on iced tea!
I'll see your iced tea and raise you a Nestea Raspberry cooler.
To BROADSWORD!
Okay Jorge,
Find me a passage in the koran with this same message:
From Matthew 5
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Now you tell me Jorge, what does mohammad say?
Thy name isnt Islamism, thy name is Islam. its the religion not the fanatics.
I'll drink to that.
In Memory of broadsword
Gone, but never forgotten.
You have made some great points, Bennett. You shouldn't worry too much though...as outspoken as this group is, there won't be too many canned responses.
"Take your blinders off and you'll see that there is no difference between that statement and the kinds of statements you make about ALL Muslims, whoc you call "slime."
We don't do that kind of bigoted hate here at FR."

I see that in my absence the same tired line is being thrown at the defenders of our Judeo/Christian American way of life.
It is such a cheap tactic plus it's intellectually lazy to throw the word bigot around when confronted by people who have come to the well researched conclusion that islam presents a clear and present danger. Those of us who have reached this conclusion did not do so happily.
And frankly, pointing the finger and denouncing us as bigots is such a typically leftist/liberal tactic that I'm surprised to even find it here at FR, unless the poster is a DU troll.
But I'll give it a shot--no, most muslims don't engage in terrorism. But how many condemn those who do?
There are two kinds of evil men; those who do evil and those who see evil being done and do nothing to stop or to even condemn it.
We could provide links to various verses in the Quran which best describe Islam, and the history of muzzie terrorist acts.
Here is more Jorge.
Matthew 24: 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Note verse 9. Who are being killed for their beliefs EVERY DAY? Muslims or Christians?
Teh entire Koran is about killing non-Muslims? That is just silly on the face of it. It shows your animus against anyone of a different religion from yours.
___________________________________________
How does summarizing the Koran honestly show animus against anyone of a different religion? Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, have nothing that equals the Koran in its thirst for blood. Yours is such a silly statement. Read the Koran, and then come back and honestly tell us that there is nothing in that book about killing and harsh treatment of non-muslims.
