He brought with him his wife, Felipa, and three children, 19, 12 and 8 – all illegals. When Felipa gave birth to her fourth child, daughter Flor, the family had what is referred to as an "anchor baby" – an American citizen by birth who provided the entire Silverio clan a ticket to remain in the U.S. permanently.

But Flor was born premature, spent three months in the neonatal incubator and cost the San Joaquin Hospital more than $300,000. Meanwhile, oldest daughter Lourdes married an illegal alien gave birth to a daughter, too. Her name is Esmeralda. And Felipa had yet another child, Cristian.

The two Silverio anchor babies generate $1,000 per month in public welfare funding for the family. Flor gets $600 a month for asthma. Healthy Cristian gets $400. While the Silverios earned $18,000 last year picking fruit, they picked up another $12,000 for their two "anchor babies."

OUTRAGEOUS!! Ridiculous, Maddening, Sickening!

>>Anyone who is willing to exempt current illegals from the law should also be willing to exempt every other criminal from their crimes.<<

yep. for example there are currently many in prison on charges of tax evasion. some, because they claim it is against their religion to give any of their earnings to a anti-God socialist gvt that practices redistribution of wealth. i would say they have as much a "right" to be exempted for their crimes. but then prisons make money.... regardless of the propaganda saying otherwise.. there are some who milk that system too. and we pay... and pay... for it all.

ps... thought i better make clear - i'm not promoting tax evasion.. : )

just showing an example of giving a certain law breaking group the "OK" to carry on .... no consequences, or even "rewarding" the illegal behavior. who else would we do this for? (well... poluticians and other publik servants who break their oath maybe)... but who else?

:-( That is unless we decide to do something about it!

Do what?

Imagine the mountain of $7 to $9 trillion in debt.

Guess I'll go back to watching TV and feeling comfortable numb.

(I'm really going into the office.)

i have always had my own garden.... grew up in a farm family that canned and froze all our food for the winter. we didn't have tv either. so i raised my kids that way too... now they thank me and they are good conservative productive young citizens. another thing that is great is a family milk cow. even though the kids have moved out - i still have my milk cow. i cannot stand spending that much for cream and butter. : )

it's easy. and cheap. my cow raises 12 calves in 9 months plus i milk her.

but then, i'm a real hill billy chick... not many left like that most likely. i also don't like buying food others have handled.... haha! it's true... my mother was a cean freak about food and i never got over it.

"You mean in addition to the (slow) destruction of American culture and the high probability of Islamist infiltration, open borders also gives us contagious, often-fatal, drug-resistant diseases like tuberculosis, malaria, leprosy, plague, polio, dengue, and Chagas disease?

Well, at least we have our cheap lettuce."

Lol...now that you've put it that way...

Small price to pay for a Wendy's .99 cent salad, don't you think?

Btw, there was a poster yesterday who presumed heads of lettuce would cost upwards of $10.00 bucks per head -- WITHOUT illegals picking it.

Worth mentioning OVER AND OVER.

Does everyone want to know why our insurance premiums are $13,000 a year? Why our new car insurance is another $2,000 per year? Why our tax money is going to Uninvited Illegal Foreigners?

Somebody ask our feckless President and legislators.

They are guilty of aiding and abetting MASSIVE FRAUD upon its citizenry.

That's a scary article; it's made me more than ever convinced that we have to do something about our borders.

I don't want to see sick people who are already here, even illegally, go without health care if they are truly in need, but this is not fair to Americans who are paying into the system either.

We are not surprised at the content of this article. The US is being overwhelmed...well, positive reinforcement means more and more illegals head north. They'd be stupid to stay home, especially when their govt. encourages them to leave and oh, yes, reminds them to send money home asap. Nine billion per year, last time Mexico counted up the remittance checks.

If Sandy "The Pants" Burger doesn't get prosecuted for stealing those documents, then we'll know the two party system is a sham.

But then I have strong suspicions anyway.

GB safe back in the WH now and it's time for him to clean up this mess he didn't make.

As Bush has been President since 2001, there comes a point when it's no longer "someone else's mess."

You minority you.

People dont believe me when I tell them whites in LA are now down to the low 30% mark of the population. Might have dropped to the twenties by now.

I am, however, disgusted.

I should have been more diplomatic. I suppose the point is that we on the right, who are are constantly criticisizing the left for their inability to 'get over it' whether it be the 2004 election, Iraq, etc., should take our own advice and 'get over it' on this issue.

It's over and done with - anyone investing even an iota of emotion is wasting their time no differently than bitter libs who can't get over their losses. I'm neither disgusted, appalled, or shocked. I simply don't care and have made appropriate plans to benefit from the continuing growth of illegal immigration.
