It is sad that he was driven to do this, and commit suicide also. But, I am truly glad we are not witnessing a repeat of Nichols and the past 24 days in Atlanta. Troubled souls. Prayers for all the victims and families.

It is because they care so deeply for the safety of others that they pass these vitally important bills...

Must have been a "Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod" voters's meeting.

Local radio now reports police have surrounded a home tied to the shooter and the Toyota pickup towed away from the scene.
The site is a few miles away from the shooting scene in New Berlin Wisconsin.

From the reports on local TV, there are reports that there was some sort of conflict within the religious group.

Listening to a clip of news and it's still unknown how he's related to the folks.

"From the reports on local TV, there are reports that there was some sort of conflict within the religious group."
Earlier, an eyewitness on TV said the shooter was a close friend of hers and we would presume but not confirm the shooter was a member of the church.
The shooters identity -is- known but is not being released.

MediaMole may be able to tell us more - sounds like he/she is getting more off the tv than we are from the radio station.

I believe I heard WTMJ radio guy say that the church (Living Church Of God), celebrates the Sabbath on Saturday. It sounds like it was a "End of times" Church, and that there mission is to inform all English speaking people to recognize the signs of the Tribulation.

Worldwide Church of God formally renounced and rejected Amstrong's teachings about 15 years ago. They are now accepted as as a normal and theologically solid denomination among Christian churches.

I've been watching TV and listening to a scanner with Brookfield and New Berlin cops channels. Nothing interesting on the scanner, just getting roads closed and keeping out the media stuff.
TV report from witness...
"... someone came in at the beginning of the service... multiple shots were fired. There didn't appear to be any specific target. Congregation consists of 50-80 people... very peaceful people."

Okay, could someone refresh me here, or inform me, or whatever on the name of this church group, and the church name that the white supremacist who was (apparently mistakenly) suspected in the judge's family shooting?
(Can anyone even figure out my question?)

Not an expert, just speculation....but some ultra-conservative Christian groups honor the Sabbath on Saturday, not Sunday. Just like December 25 is not necessarily the actual birth of Christ. There is much debate as to actual dates or days in the Bible. Depends on your particular faith.

They dropped the legalism and the weird doctrines about Europeans being the lost tribes of Israel and such?
If true, that's good.
I had a stepmother when I was a kid who got really screwed up in the head by those folks.

Right. My housekeeper belongs to a "Church of God" that would seem to fit that description. They meet on Saturday.

Brookfield police chief said 5:10 PM CST in his initial presser at the scene.
