"Human rights and the rule of law must always be respected."

Is this the same guy who fought against our going in to Iraq? And hasn't stopped the genocide in Darfur?

Addressing a three-day conference which included about 20 heads of state and government as well as terrorism experts, lawyers and journalists, Mr Annan laid out five elements in what he called a "principled, comprehensive strategy" to fight terrorism.

Element Gold: Me and my family must always profit from any UN endeavors.

Element Lead: I and the UN must control the military forces used in confronting the terrorist

Element Mercury: My 'quick-silver' tongue must be the sole arbiter of any disputes between terrorist nations and the civilized world.

Element Tin: I will be solely responsible for negotiating tin clad treaties with tinpot dictators.

Element Silver: Fifty pieces paid to me negates any of the above provisions.

Annan wants to stop our intelligence agencies from doing their jobs for the purpose of allowing terrorists to more easily attack, terrorists' drug dealer friends to more easily raise money for them, and so forth.

Our USA should get out of the UN gang and get the UN gang out of the USA. We should also promote more sovereignty and freedom of international association for all nations.

Everything you need to know about the UN's stand on human rights can be found near the end of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Article 29. (3) These rights and freedoms may in no case be exercised contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations.

In other words, according to the UN you have no rights at all if you oppose the UN.
