Why is a courthouse guard even carrying a weapon? By definition the public cannot bring a firearm into a courthouse with an effective security system of metal detectors and body searches. The only place in such a facility that armed security is needed is at the entrance.
Yes - they have a dangerous suspect (that had shanks in his shoes earlier in the week), he's on trial for rape (so he's already committed violence against women), he's over six foot tall and weighs 200 lbs.
So, what do they do? Assign a female officer to escort him by herself.
Lay this tradgedy right at the base of the feminist & political correctness movement.
I'm not saying he couldn't have possibly gotten the gun away from a male deputy as well, but the articles are stating he "overpowered" her. He should have been in cuffs at a minimum.
Did the deputy have a retention holster?
This morning, when the news broke, Mrs. Balding Eagle first comment was "I bet it was a female deputy he got the gun from".
The perp saw a feminist built hole in the system, and went for it.
When all the facts come out, we'll be able to see that there was a relatively small, less muscular female escorting a 200+ pound perp who was lifting weights for months, and ready to overpower nearly anyone, let alone a smaller weaker gusrd.
ditto.
Does a grandmother aged 51 standing 5'1" weighing 130, meet your criteria?
Are you denying that while the feminists claim that women can do everything that men can, real life experiences show that to be a blatant falsehood?
Feminism has put our troops at risk, our countries security at risk, our police at risk. This is but one glaring example of people dying for someone elses faith.
Someone should tell the truth. Why shouldn't it be me?
5' 1", 130 pounds. Yes, that's what I thought, as did Mrs. Balding Eagle. Sad.
As I said in an earlier post, this is an example of people dying for other people's faith.
