Until now Muslims hardly even paid lipservice to condemning terror, much less spoke out decisively against it -- now they are finally starting to figure out that these terror acts are hurting them directly, and they are coming out and loudly condemning it, which will be followed by actions of them helping us rid the world of the terrorists. Looks like it will no longer be socially acceptable for Muslims to support the terrorists quietly.
This is a major shift.
There was a recent poll posted of Muslims in Indonesia, and I recall support for Bin Laden fell from 59% to 23% or somewhere in there.
And none of this would have happened, if President Bush hadn't taken the actions and approach he took: go all out against the terrorists and help the Muslims to become free and Democratic.
They are finally starting to see who their real enemies are: the terrorists.
Add to that, The non-stingy responce after the Tsunami probably did a world of good in Indonesia.

Muslims temporarily reject terrorism all the time. Then they hold whatever they gained through terrorism and expect to be rewarded even more for the cease fire while they regroup.
I don't think so. They take their fatwa's seriously.
I do think that this is the beginning of the end for extremist Muslims and the end of the beginning for a more moderate, live and let live version of the Muslim religion.

You've never read the Koran have you? That first statement is EXACTLY what the Koran instructs muslims to do.
They are only issuing a fatwa because of the train bombing in their country. They didn't care what happened to all of those innocent people in the WTC, Pentagon or any of the planes on 9/11 because they were Americans.
It does not apply to Jews or Americans
