Did he kill himself while the police were watching?
If he did, great.
This story is really odd. And no, that doesn't mean it isn't true. I hope it is true. Amazingly convenient though...
He was 58 and was despondent over adverse rulings by the judge that he said ruined his life. IMO This is one fallout of our over-litigated society - A determined attorney can accomplish much damage on behalf of a vindictive client and a flawed process. I've seen it many, many times.
West Allis police are scheduled to hold a news conference at 8 a.m. (CST)to discuss the case.
Seems the guy had information and evidence with him in his van that only the killer would know.

I hope it won't be like the Wichita news conference. *Sheesh!*
Man Who Reportedly Admitted To Lefkow Slayings Linked To Chicago
Chicago Man Had History In Joan Lefkow's Courtroom
CHICAGO -- A man who killed himself in Wisconsin Wednesday, leaving a suicide note implicating himself in the Lefkow family slayings, may be a Chicago man.
NBC5 reported Thursday that the van that the man shot himself in in West Ellis, Wis., is registered to a Chicago man named Bart A. Ross.
Police have not confirmed that Ross was the person who killed himself Wednesday.
Ross, 57, recently had a case dismissed by Judge Joan Lefkow, whose mother, Donna Humphrey, and husband, Michael Lefkow, were killed in their Andersonville home 10 days ago.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the man's suicide note said that the judgment had cost the him "his house, his job and family," and claimed responsibility for the slayings.
NBC5's Phil Rogers reported that Ross first filed suit in Sept. 2004 against various entities including the United States government, the University of Illinois Medical Center and several lawyers and doctors.
Ross' suit, in which he acted as his own attorney, claimed that he was given radiology treatments and chemotherapy without his knowledge for a mouth disease he suffered from. Ross claimed the treatment caused skin deformations, according to his lawsuit.
Joan Lefkow dismissed the complaint in September 2004, but Ross filed a motion to reconsider in October 2004 before Lefko dismissed the suit outright on Jan. 25.
Chicago police said Thursday that detectives had been sent to a Milwaukee suburb after being notified about a possible suicide in that suburb.
Police would not confirm if Wednesday's suicide was related to the slayings of a federal judge's mother and husband 10 days ago, police spokesman Hector Alfaro said. (snip)

Sure seems that way. Unless he was fired on from the Black Helicopter and then the cops put the evidence in his car :-) Yeah, I hope this is the end of it. I heard on the radio that the judge may have ruled against him in some matter and he was very upset, noting that he lost his home and family, etc.
Yea, sure.
The Great Hale reached out with svengalli like mental vibes and caused this guy to kill himself for the "cause".
Gotta ask, who would kill themself for this?
Get real.
Civil cases are 1,000 times more volatile and violent than the worst extremist.
Extremists think their violence through.
Losers in civil cases don't. They just react, which makes them far more dangerous.
After seeing the stupid and violent things people do when wrapped up in civil cases, I tend to believe the story is true.

OK, how the the perp force him to shoot himself?
Trivia: what other big news event happened in West Allis, about 4.5 years ago?
Bush made statement at Wisconsin State Fair Park about DUI report.
Yeah. Did someone give him specific instructions? Was he just a hit man?
This news conference is a joke.
