You don't understand.

Whenever McCain opens his mouth, whether its one of the few times he's right or not, he needs to keep it shut.

I didn't read the article enough to know that its about keeping naval strength up. Its from McCain. That's enough! He needs to go commo-silent.

What an A$$.

"I didn't read the article enough to know..."

Ok, you don't like McCain. I'm no fan either but I'm concerned about how thin our military is spread right now. Shoot the messenger all you want but you still have to read the message.

Jesus Christ, John. Why not tell our enemies where all of our weaknesses are. If you believe in freedom of informtion, why don't you say where on Central you live????

I would ordinarily agree with you but McCainiac isn't a messenger, he's a ego-ridden grandstander. If you ever served he's a unit's worst nightmare.

Yeah I know about his time in the Hilton and all but his time since is really suspect and in this he reminds me of another prominent Senator.

My point was so many times our congress critters blow a lot of hot air. Talking around the issue and not offering how to remedy what they are criticizing. It gives them more press time I suppose.

I actually like McCain. I have my differences with him but I am with you on this article.

Sen. John McCain said he has serious concerns

John - PAL! - just one thing I want to know from you.

What do you really think of those Swift Vets and POWs?

Why do you guys reflexively slam McCain?

Because he has a long history of stabbing conservatives in the back in order to curry favor with the liberal media.

I wish McCain would just GO AWAY.

He is an idiot. He should change his party to that of a Demoncrat since they echo his views. I'd bet he plans on running again. I own't be voting for him, that's for sure.

And the current Bush was in the process of further reducing it until 911

Clinton deserves a lot of the blame because all the terror attacks during his 8 years didn't change his policy and the current Bush has to take some of it also since he didn't learn anything from what went on during Clinton's 8 years until 911

And that worthless Joint Chief's Chairman under Clinton kept telling congress what he thought Clinton wanted him to say

Too bad there wasn't a MacArthur around to take these boobs to task like he did when FDR was in the process of ruining the military back in the 30s

"And the current Bush was in the process... Clinton deserves a lot of the blame because..."

All true. I think the whole "peace dividend" thing was at the forefront back then. It was a popular concept with voters so our leaders/representatives went with it... then 9/11. Of course, better intelligence, not a bigger military, would have prevented 9/11. In the aftermath we've overcommited (IMO)... like trying to cover a 6x8 wall with a 4x8 sheet of plywood, there's gonna be gaps somewhere.
