LOL @ Conspiracy Guy! I thought you wrote-" Sounds like a p-a-i-n.

If enough ppl in the Great Lone Star State shut down EVERY drive-thru place in Texas for several hours a day to save the 3% on the drink, maybe some of the Dumba$$es in Austin might have to rethink this madness.

Administration costs need to be trimmed by the individual districts.

Consolodation needs to occur. There are areas in rural Texas with multiple districts that each have very small student bodies. Each uses money for administration costs. Only 51 cents of every dollar makes it directly into the classroom. That ratio must increase.

It is an income tax, but it is paid by the party PAYING the income instead of the party receiving the income. I don't know for sure but I suspect that this makes a difference under the Texas Constitution.

Sneaky so-and-so's.

lawmakers included specifically to target obesity

In a fit of self preservation, they were careful to write in a clause excluding any fat above neck level from being targeted.

Tell the taxman to stuff it and start rolling your own. I've spent less than $25.00 total in smokes for myself and my Wife. The smokes taste better, last longer, and you get to carry one of these around:
