This might be a good thread to ask a question I have. While in the parking lot about 2hrs after sunset, I was looking at some constellations. (Having been told by someone on this site that the star "serious" is the shoulder of cannabis major.) Anyway, there's this object in the sky headed from almost due south to due north. It was orange/gold, no blinking lights, nothing weird about it other than it's direction. That time of night we see the red eyes headed for Europe, whatever this was seemed way above them.
Was it possibly one of those polar orbit satellites? Any pointer to where I could find out? Thanks
