What's the airspeed of an exploding manhole cover?

actually,they can go 20ft or so,a car was parked over the one below us,...a few years ago,a cabbie was injured when one blew as he was driving near us,it landed on his hood

maybe with the access covers for ConEd steam sytem,...but these[most common]are when salt erodes wire insullation,sparks and burns,and with this one below us,burned for almost an hour as FDNY & ConEd tried to turn off small gas fed fire plus elec,...it was a zoo,...then they had noisey fans running 24/7 to vent underground FOR A WEEK!! no kidding
