For myself, I tend to be very even-tempered and don't like extremes in anything. I very much enjoy the animated "give and take" discussions on Free Republic. As an enthusiastic FReeper poster, I'm just the messenger. The message is contained within the pieces that I choose to offer for FR members' consideration. I don't author the columns that I post..........so-o-o-ooo don't shoot the messenger!

The key question is "what will the blue states do to have a military force". My son graduated from Parris Island, and every member of his platoon was a Southron.
Wouldn't a Southen secession leave the North-east defenseless, or would they rely on Canada for a military presence?
If Blue state secession ever happens, me and mine are moving from Washington state to Idaho and damned fast. I'd rather live free than be be a conservative in a socialist country.
