Manchester United and AC Milan have met each other on four previous occasions with each winning their home games.

Manchester United have hosted Italian opposition on 10 occasions, winning seven and losing just once.

That home defeat was against Juventus in November 1996, the Italians winning 1-0.

Manchester United are unbeaten in their last five home matches against Italian opposition.

AC Milan have visited England nine times and never won, drawing twice and losing seven.

AC Milan have failed to score on their last four visits to England.

AC Milan have not won a match against English opposition (home and away) since beating Everton 1-0 in October 1975.

Ooohhh...soccer. I can barely control my excitement. Maybe one of the teams will actually score a point.

Come on Milan! There'll be no listening to all those Man U fans otherwise!

Well done Liverpool last night. Dudek's error puts them under pressure for the second leg though. The way this team is playing from week to week, a 2-0 win for Leverkusen is well within the realms of possibility.

BBC do a pretty good minute-by-minute tracker of the action too. Unfortunately, they block the audio streaming of a lot of games on FiveLive online. You can tune in at 5.00pm ET for the phone-in though, that's always pretty good.

Please don't feed the trolls. Let them post their ignorant comments and move . . . Responding to them keeps them around longer.

Haven't heard the line-up yet. Ferguson's been going with Carroll most of the time, with Howard getting the Cup matches. I'd say its Carroll tonight.

Barcelona v Chelsea
Barca have missed two penalties in the Champions League - more than any other team. John Terry has scored the most headed goals - three from three efforts on target.

Porto v Internazionale
Porto have the worst record of any of the qualifiers with just eight points - four teams were eliminated having earned more. Inter scored the most goals away from home in the group stage - nine.

Man United v Milan
Ruud van Nistelrooy is the only player to have reached double figures in two separate European Cup campaigns and he has already got eight this season so far. Milan are the most accurate shooters in the competition, finding the target with 61 percent of their efforts.

Werder Bremen v Lyon
Werder and Lyon took the joint-most points from a losing position in the group stages, coming from behind to secure six points. Lyon fired in more shots at goal (92) and, unsurprisingly, are the top scorers with 17 goals.
