Until it was clear that the enemies within could not use the tapes, I was prepared to accept what had to be done.

After all Watergate was SOP political bugging and cover up. It was the press frenzy and MSM's fellow pro-Ho "anti-war" Nixon haters that made it more.

My first thoughts were, here we go again. More than three years into another war to defend the U.S. against an enemy now the left likely has their Watergate with these tapes and the ability to destroy another wartime administration.

I did not want to see another war time administration destroyed and victory handed to an enemy by politicians and the MSM.

I did not want submission to the enemy. This time the attacks were on our soil. This war is for all the marbles. I really believe that.

I was prepared to say, I'd rather see a temporary suspension of the Constitution and a wall-to-wall house cleaning. Internment for the duration for all enemies within!

I was ready to say, Put on a stovepipe hat if you have to, Mr. President. What would Abe do to save the Republic?
