I approve of your reference to Washington. He was indeed a great man.
However, as Freepers, we should never explicitly or implicitly praise Lincoln. He expanded the purview of the federal gov't, instituted a draft, waged war against half the country, and set the South aflame. Nothing praiseworthy about any of these actions.
Remember, Abe Lincoln is a liberal hero, not a conservative hero.
