You are totally right. Supporting these bozos is huge mistake. Just as much as supporting Sadaam Hussein to attack Iran in the 1980s - all a mistake, and the consequences very severe.
And here it is the link I was talking about

FBI should do some thing about it!
How about this?

How about this?

Thanks for the links.
I'll check them out tomorrow.
It doesn't look good, though.
I appreciate all of your efforts to keep us informed.
You're a good guy, and I wish you well. ;o)
However, don't you find it a little odd that the United States would embrace the PLO-which has never forsworn terrorism or its unremitting hostility to America-while looking askance on a group that-while having committed detestable actions in the past-has proven to be an essential ally in our quest to prevent the IRI from acquiring deployable nuclear weapons?
You are depicting them as if they are the Tudeh Party, still opposing American interests, instead of aligning with them.
How are they any different from any other opposition group that-while being comprised of unpalatable personalities-must, of necessity, still play a pivotal role in the exposure of the crimes committed by the theocratic ruling elite within the Iranian government?
I am writing to Fox and they should know who this guy is!
That is the beauty of this nation.
You can express your opinion, no matter how controversial-or innocuous-it may be.
That is a very good question. I do not know.
I understand there are about 4,000 members being held in that compound in Iraq. I don't think Gitmo has room for 4,000. The army probably didn't see the point of transporting them all someplace else, when they could keep them in the compound there.
I agree they are dangerous and have their own agenda.
I wonder if I've met this man? There were several Iranian students in the Civil Engineering group at Berkeley when I was there in 1976-8. I was quite close to one of them through joint projects. I must confess I can't remember his name after 25+ years. We spent much of the time talking about events in Iran and mystic poetry rather than doing homework.
seen this?
Thanks for the ping.
I'm conflicted about MEK. I detest their leaders and don't trust their agenda, but I know that in the future of Iran all groups from the extreme left to the extreme right have to have a right to participate -- as long as they don't have blood on their hands. I can't condemn all these thousands of MEK around the world who have a certain ideology, even though they were venomous and wicked to the Monarchy and they had a hand in what befell Iran. They follow a mistaken ideology, but they are Iranians nevertheless and I am not going to hate them all. Their leaders are a completely different story.
So, no, I don't think they are ALL terrorists and they should be thrown out of the country which really means sending them to the gulags in Iran. I do not think that they are all uniformly terrorists and worst than any and all of the mullahs. No, that can't be the truth and we must be fair in our assessment.
And I think they did play a pivotal role in placing the Islamic regime and the world at the crossroads that we are in now. If it wasn't for their intelligence info on the mullahs' pursuit of nuclear power, the Europeans would have normalized relations with the mullahs by now and the world wouldn't have a clue or wouldn't care about Iran.
I think American government has no choice but to use the MEK for their intelligence info. for now, but it is the duty of the rest of the Iranian community to let the government know that MEK is not accepted by vast majority of Iranians, and that Iranians reject Marxism, let alone fascist Marxist ideology, and that no government should bring about such a destiny to Iran after all that she has suffered. And I truly believe that is NOT the American aim either.
I am going to fight them if they claim power or leadership in Iran!
I will join you to fight them, but only with words and in debate, not by shedding any more blood. That is unless they prove that their real agenda is more of the same as Iran had for the past 26 years only now under their unique "leadership".
In contrast, I would prefer anyone to the mullahs, but whomever in Fox news management thought MEK is going to be a major player in future Iranian democratic politics, is an idiot. But hearing MEK describe mullahs and their atrocities in Fox news for the world perhaps is a good thing, because MEK will be as fair and balanced to the mullahs as I would be, if I were discussing the subject. I, in no way support MEK, we just share the same very short-term goal.
I've seen this Jafarzedah guy, and he really does provide solid insight into the Middle East. He's obviously an expert on the area, and I think its smart to have him on standby in case they need related questions answered.
