Good food breaks down social divisions faster than anything I can think of.
This guy is pretty good but has an attitude problem.
I can make a ham sandwhich with seeded or seeless rye bread. Is that multifaced enough?
Writers can easily make a spelling mistake in their hurry to get the article done, but isn't that what editors are for? To correct such things? But, maybe AP doesn't have editors who know how to spell palates?
You beat me to it!!!! LOL!
I remember reading that on the day the Bush's showed up at the White House, the aide who came out to welcome them was told the Bush's wanted hamburgers for lunch. The aide responded that the chef didn't do hamburgers!!!! The President told her that he expected hamburgers for lunch! Period!!!
Laura, you're missing a great chance to make this a reality show - sort of like "The Apprentice" meets "Iron Chef".
I want to hear the President say "Alberto - you're dishired."
Poppy will be happy as long as there is no broccoli.
That was a classic Seinfeld episode. Thank you for the photo. It brings back memories.
LOL!
Actually, I just read a press transcript during a tour of the ranch and he said he likes to make hamburgers himself. He says he's good at it.
So maybe all is not lost after all. Keep your application in.
If you get the job, just be sure and invite me for dinner.
Meat loaf made with BBQ sauce is my kids favorite. Which is puzzling because otherwise they don't like "spicy weird stuff..."
I forgot to add that Billy used to cater for Ronald Reagan at his Refugio Ranch, so he already has a history of cookin' for presidents.
Alton Brown for White House Chef.
Got your resume in yet?
This is one of the few areas the president has lost me. I love the guy, but from what I've read, it seems as though he and the first lady dumped a world class chef, and are in the market for a short order cook from Denny's.
At first, I thought that said Aaron Brown for White House Chef. And I thought "Mmmmm. Great idea. At least then we don't have to see his whiny mug on CNN..."
The previous White House chef, Walter Scheib III, has left to pursue new opportunities after nearly 11 years of cooking for two presidents, and the first lady is looking for a replacement who can cater to the first family's native Texan pallets.
It doesn't sound to me like she fired him.
I agree!! Pallets are rather hard to chew!
