well since we can proudly say that only 1% of all scouts will become Eagles......well that was the stat when I got mine back in 1975, I'm sure it is even less with women here as well.......after reading some posts, I might even think it may be just you and me..........LOL

The whole reason the FBI is involved is because some firms...such as the United way, do matching dollars for each registered scout. Within Scouting there is tremendous pressure on the paid Scout employee's to increase membership. Councils are usually led by 1 of 2 types of Executive personalities. Either Fiscally driven or Program driven. If the council is more interested in Fiscal numbers than the boys programs, that is where some Leaders start to lose their way. In ANY instance of this type of fraud, the end does not justify the means, and the Leaders in these cases should be banned from participating in Scouting. Just my opinion, but not what I want my boy to learn from Scouting.
