It is obvious that's not the case since the judge has said she can be killed. There's at least two sides to every story and the judge picked the one you disagree with. I wasn't in on any of the courtroom hearings and I'm not up to researching the entirety of the case. I'm sure it fills volumes that I will never care enough to read about. But, if you're certain she wants to live like that then good luck, I hope your efforts make a difference.

It is obvious to anyone who knows the facts of the case that Judge Greer is biased in favor of Michael Shiavo. Greer not only favors Michael on matters where reasonable people might disagree, but he also favors Michael in ways that no reasonable judge would.

Believing that the state of Florida has at least one corrupt judge, one corrupt lawyer, and one corrupt other guy does not seem too hard. Nor does it seem hard to believe that they'd find each other. Believing that to be the case is much easier than believing everything you'd have to believe to believe that Schiavo, Felos, and Greer were all honest.

Believing, believe, belief... ok, I believe you. You should write to somebody who can do something about it. All I ever wanted to express on this thread was that if I were in her condition, I'd want my wife to kill me or have me killed without interference from outsideders. I can't help Terri.

Suit yourself. I would posit, however, that Terri's condition is nowhere near as grave as Michael lets on. If it were, his actions wouldn't make any sense.

I haven't read anything Michael has "let on" about her condition. I watched the video clips posted in this thread.

> I can only assume that the judge has reviewed all the facts and found the husband's claim credible?

Were that so, the outcry and outrage would be diminished.
There are legal reasons and at least one medically factual reason (legal blindness) why this "judge" shouldn't be sitting in judgment of anyone.
Greer has also been extraordinarily lenient about Michael Schiavo's non-appearances for at least two guardianship complaint depositions -- with no new depositions scheduled. Financial sanctions are generally imposed for flimsy explanation non-appearances. Not so by Greer for Michael Schiavo.

Life isn't just a heartbeat.

Check back with us after your first heart attack, and tell us how you tried to keep your wife from dialing 911. Let me tell you something in advance. She won't be able to dial it fast enough to please you.

I don't know, but I'm not going to fret over it.

Your compassion is underwhelming.

> Does he have the authority to do it?

From Florida's Constitution:
ARTICLE IV
EXECUTIVE
SECTION 1. Governor.--
. . .
(b) The governor may initiate judicial proceedings in the name of the state against any executive or administrative state, county or municipal officer to enforce compliance with any duty or restrain any unauthorized act.
SECTION 7. Suspensions; filling office during suspensions.--
(a) By executive order stating the grounds and filed with the custodian of state records, the governor may suspend from office any state officer not subject to impeachment, . . . or any county officer, for malfeasance, misfeasance, neglect of duty, drunkenness, incompetence, permanent inability to perform official duties, or commission of a felony, and may fill the office by appointment for the period of suspension.

These sections also have relevance.
ARTICLE I
DECLARATION OF RIGHTS
. . .
SECTION 21. Access to courts.--The courts shall be open to every person for redress of any injury, and justice shall be administered without sale, denial or delay.

ARTICLE II
GENERAL PROVISIONS
SECTION 5. Public officers.--
(a) . . . No person shall hold at the same time more than one office under the government of the state and the counties and municipalities therein,

"Check back with us after your first heart attack, and tell us how you tried to keep your wife from dialing 911."

Why would I try to keep my wife from dialing 911 during a heart attack? Kinda different from Terri's current condition don't you think? Emergency care and long term care aren't in the same category. Now, I wouldn't want my wife to hire somebody to wipe my butt if I didn't even know my butt needed wiping.

"Your compassion is underwhelming."

I know, I'm lacking in the compassion department. Just being honest.

"Yes you can."

You're right, I can include her and her family in my prayers.

If you're thinking of praying for her to be murdered, I wouldn't advise it.

Not exactly what I had in mind. You think me evil. How 'bout if I just pray for God to see that His will be done?
