Anyone else find it ironic that a nuclear "attack" sub would be named after Mr. anti-war Carter?

Anyone else find it ironic that a nuclear "attack" sub would be named after Mr. anti-war Carter?Well, as long as it stays underwater and out of sight, I guess it's okay. :-)

This is the Kiss of Death for the vessel.
It will sink.

Anyone else find it ironic that a nuclear "attack" sub would be named after Mr. anti-war Carter?Unless it's designed to attack American security instead of protecting it.

I didn't much care for naming a carrier after Ronald Reagan while he was still alive, and I care even less for naming anything after Jeemah Cahtuh ... ever.

Is it shaped like a giant peanut?
To: conservativebabe
Will it be covered with a cotton sweater?
To: conservativebabe
This sub is doomed to be a bottom-crawler, like its namesake, socialist scumbag.

I thought they were only supposed to name ships after dead men.
I guess this means he's dead to the Navy--given his attitude about the armed forces, this comes as no shock. After all, turnabout is fair play.

HELL NO!!!!!!!!!
Naming it after the Attack Rabbit that went after Carter would be much more apporpriate.
I can see it now, SSN Attack Rabbit.
I hope to God that this plan is withdrawn.

President Carter is the only U.S. president to have qualified in submarines. Thank God Reagan blew his subversion out of the water.

Now if they just build a USS Walter Mondale and make it a laundry ship, life will imitate the Simpsons.

as much as I can't stand the guy, he did serve his country on a nuclear sub.....I won't take that away from him....however, this sub is now doomed to not being able to fire on an enemy position unitl it contacts all the other subs first......LOL>....
To: conservativebabe
I suggest it's first mission should be a target package including Medina, Mecca, Pyong Yang, Tehran and the Secretariat of the UN (low yield, of course).
